Pagani Design PD1731 Grand Seiko homage
Just one more PD spec monster, this one cost about £26 and is clearly inspired by the Grand Seiko, but surely it can’t be any good at that price?

I've had the exact 1731 for 5 months or so, bought at $41 USD. I was amazed at the screw pins in the bracelet. It is a SOLID f**king watch (even if quartz). I continue to be amazed at the value of the Chinese homages vs. Rolex et al. Even if this watch is only 75% of the way to the Roli, OP, it cost 0.625% of the Roli at current $6,400 USD price.

@@gorillasinthewrist Now that you've pointed it out, I see the gap on the left of the bracelet where it meets the case. The right side is flush.

@@Subjective_JoshNelson I'd double check all those bracelet screws if I were you. I had a PD fall off my wrist onto the ground due to one of them coming out. Luckily I had spares with the spare links but when I tried screwing it in I found it wasn't tightening due to no thread in the link. I glued it in and then found another that was similarly loose. Yeah I'll take friction fit pins every time

I love the long reaching hands. I don't need to add a sixth watch to my very nice collection (any watch I buy must have a date window), but with those specs and price they might as well put it for free.

So much for so little!. Thanks for reviewing this watch, it is so cheap I think we overlook it. They would be better not using lume, or ditching the bracelet for a strap and using better lume. I just wish they did a white dial, I'm not keen on the three colours available. Good review, enjoy your Sunday 👍

Never understood the lume on a dress watch thing, the bracelet on this is a tale of 2 halves! Looks great on the tan leather and black straps but I did put it back on the bracelet after the review thanks for watching enjoy what’s left of Sunday

Hello again from a brazilian subscriber. Nice channel man, congratulations! I have this watch in a light Brown leather strap (Just as you do), and the light BLUE on the original bracelet. I love the GS this watch is homaging so I got two in my collection. I would like to give you a suggestion on the Cadisen model C8225M I got the BLUE one with a leather strap, this is a homage of the Hamilton Jazzmaster slim, but the Cadisen has a 22mm lugs. You Will like It and would be Nice on the Gorillas wrist also! Sorry If I made any mistakes in my english!

@@gorillasinthewrist Hello my Gorilla friend! The Cadisen C8225M (the Hamilton Jazzmaster Slim Homage) that I talked about have a (SH###! bracelet), but for about 30/35 pounds I believe is a must! It has a Myiota automatic movment that gives the watch the great value

Bought this on a whim to see how they managed to bring this in so cheap. Damn impressive for the price, specs are great for the price. Ditch the supplied bracelet as not worth it, clearly part of the cost savings.

In your review, you didn't mention the other colors. I have the blue and the green versions. I hadn't intended to buy the green one, but when it hit $25 USD in the last sale, I couldn't pass it up. The blue is my favorite, but at the price they are charging, it's fantastic value, no matter which one you get. The lume is garbage, but the original watch doesn't have any lume, so I guess a little is better than none. I also agree with you that the bracelet is the worst part of the watch, but with a 20 mm lug width, it fits a lot of straps.

At the last sale, i was looking at this and some others of this style and price range and picked the chameri. I was thinking that none of the bracelets will be decent enough so i might as well get an aftermarket bracelet with it. I got the ripple blue dial.. Screw down crown and caseback, sapphire, vh31 and really cool case design. These watches are better value for money than Casio! in my opinion.. A casio at these prices will survive 2-5 years.. right? These can easily survive 5-10!

@@gorillasinthewrist sorry buddy im a bracelet guy. I crushed my wrist twice so anything hugging too much hurts my wrist so when it comes to straps i lose my focus..
