This Pagani design pd1731 gives off some Grand Seiko vibes for a price well under $4000. In fact it's well under $50! The specs are incredible and the build is solid. Nice video. I have had several PD watches. Sub, GMT Sub and the Milgauss homage. My wife has 3, the Explorer, the Royal Oak and the light blue with white ceramic bezel Chronograph. All are great deals, especially on sale from AE. Cheers!!!

It probably is the best watch you can get for the price - and I'm not usually a fan of PD. I have the blue - beautiful dial with domed sapphire and a Seiko VH sweeping hand movement. For $35 bucks. Seiko itself is selling automatics with hardlex for $500. As for the bracelet I don't mind it as much as you (and some bands won't go with the blue version) but I suspect most people who buy it would switch out the bracelet - that's always where PD goes cheap on their watches.

I have one of their GMT's and it looks really good and wears well. Heck, I may have just picked up a dud for a bracelet. I will say I do like the leather watch strap much better. Thanks again!! I agreed about the bracelet, but once on the wrist, noise problem is gone (as with almost any bracelet, actually). The gap is there, but it's not a deal breaker. I bought ir and really like it.

there are niche Chinese watches that are really nice (and affordable), just like with Chinese knives. :)

There are those people out there that still have a negative view of Chinese products. They associate Chinese with cheap and not good, but seriously you have watch makers like San Martin and Baltany that create really nice watches, and then you have watch makers like Qin Gan who create very high end handmade watches.Thanks so much for watching and for your comment. Yeah, the dial is pretty clean and simple, which to me gives the watch a bit of elevation.
