Pai is one of the most popular destinations in Thailand. Its in the north, farther even than Chiang Mai, and pretty much everything about this place is Cool, Relaxing, and Pretty.
In Mae Hong Son province, you will nearly always be in sight of beautiful mountains, and wonderfully colorful plates of Northern Thai food. Although Pai is quite popular with tourists, its also a place where you can get a mix of both local (and foreign) foods, drinks, and experiences, music or art, and just have a great time in Thailand.
In this video, my parents and I enjoy the scenery of Pai, we have a few cups of coffee, and then I ride up to show off this high mountain pass (beautiful!) and then finally join my parents again for dinner in the small town on the other side.

Yes I am interested in all the smaller things, often when I do get the opportunity to go with Mark, I am always late, always stuck somewhere talking trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can, and I realized, I guess I can just do this myself. Give myself all the time that I want, all the time that I would like to invest into learning the smaller stores along the way, the very tiny views along the way… Those are always things that intrigue me, they’re all waiting there for me, I feel this when I travel and so now I’m blessed to have subscribers like you thank you :-) have a wonderful day

Loved watching your trip through Pai! The place you guys stopped to eat from the Laos people's restaurant, in the US, that would have cost $75 US, easy. We went to Thai food last night and it cost us $140 for 8 plates of food, 1 Thai coffee, and 2 Thai iced teas for 5 people. It was amazing, but it's so expensive to eat Thai food here in the states. P'Peung's green colored table and chairs set, (where you had the peanuts and tea) OH MY GOODNESS, I love it! I want that set for my backyard! What a beautiful, interesting trip! I can tell you honestly, I was waiting for your comment :) No pressure of course haha, but yeah, I knew you would like this one specifically as its with my parents, its such a 'normal' day in Northern Thailand (but also special, for sure it was a special trip, 3 days for Christmas where NO work was done whatsoever, just coffee, chats, food, and bikes with mom and dad). Dang, that Thai meal Im sure was tasty, but wow, yeah not cheap at all. About the table and plants setup, could it fit in your greenhouse? Do you have all the space taken by plants or can you go in there to hang out as well :) ? @@JoelsTastyRide Hi Joel!! Just saw your reply because I was SO BUSY this past weekend. Had another kid leave the "nest". That's 4 down, one to go. LOL He moved about 3.5 hours south of us to get his life started. All our kids, but the one left at home, now live in the same area south of us. So, we dropped him and all his stuff off to his new place he's sharing with one of his big brothers and big brother's wife. The table and chairs would totally fit in my greenhouse. My greenhouse is HUGE! When it's not cold, dark, and winter-ish , I spend hours out there; however, I never sit. Maybe, I should get a little table and chairs set for out there and just chill once in a while, instead of working all day. It would be a great place to stop and eat lunch and sit quietly among all the plants. Thanks for the inspiration! 🥰

Hi Christel :) Well, thank you for the comments! Yes my parents are cool, theyre cool already, BUT, the GoPro is small, its actually smaller than my phone - and I have been using my phone for a LONG time, recording video and taking photos of almost all my meals (for work, and for fun, for at least 5 years now). So theyre used to it. Thankfully :) :) and yes, they are awesome riders, the longest we have done together was 60k in the high mountains (and on flat roads, they can do 60km easy, no problem).

I spend time every year in northern Thailand. I always rent a motorcycle and spend two weeks or so riding around the north. This always includes at least two nights in Pai. I always stay at the Medio de Pai. Expensive,but I love the pool.

Hi Mike! Thanks for watching man! I cant remember this Pai video, after the temple steps I think we went to try and find some local food (which is tough, as Pai has pretty much every food on Earth, but its tricky to find Northern Thai food :). haha)

I’ve always dreamt of trying to visit but am intimidated by a culture I most definitely would love to know more about. You make it look and feel easy. I’m so inspired by you. Hi Tens! Right on, you know about BKK, thats awesome! Well, the food here will definitely be less like big city street food, and much more local (looking like countryside, but not necessarily (Chiang Mai is a pretty big city)), I am sure you would love it!!

It looks like your parents enjoyed exploring Northern Thailand with you. I love that part of Thailand very much. I lived in Doi Pui for a couple of months and traveled all over Northern Thailand on the weekends. Love the food, culture and people very much. Thank you for sharing.

Great video vlog.....you should make it about cycling touring with THAI CUiISINE......or bike touring another country and discovering its cuisine. That’s a very unique channel. All bicycle touring vlogers don’t concentrate enough on food-which is the most important thing when goin long distances on a bike. Love your vlogs!
