Yog, unkilliax, and Aman are all very potent hits that can immediately answer whatever you summon for your opponent (barring like exactly zilli into reska), so I don't think you're ever too worried about it
Aman'thul is only 7 cost, but if that's your highest cost minion then Rest In Peace allows you to summon it for cheap and remove the minion you summoned for your opponent plus another one. Or as somebody already mentioned if Yogg is your highest cost minion then you summon a Yogg for cheap and take the minion you summoned for your opponent.
Priest keeps its spot as the most unsynnergistic class in HS. The class design strikes me as a dumping ground for designs that couldn't find a home in any other class. Priest cards often seem very powerful during previews, but never come together for a satisfying game experience because they're not designed to work together in a satsifying way. EDIT: This pain package seems designed to give Overheal Priest some synergy, but it won't work. It never does with Priest.
The Priest package wasn’t designed for Priest is the answer you’re really looking for. The majority of them are Thrillseeker Aranna support for Demon Hunter.
@@MinoriGaming Yeah, that's always how it seems to go, even after two high-profile class overhauls. Once I figured out the "dumping ground" dynamic, I never looked back.
Most tourists in this expansion don't make a lot of sense, very few cards seem useful in the second class. The biggest exception in my opinion is the DH-Priest tourist but then the pain priest cards *only* make sense in DH and not in Priest. The old dual-class cards were usually played in both classes, I'm not sure about this tourist mechanic.
Another expansion as a Priest main and.... disappointed with the set. A 'pain package' that's actually better for DH and not really anything but clunky for Priest. Clunky control cards that are symmetrical and high cost. No dragons. The two legendaries are solid. Tomorrow's Hunter card reveal better have some really strong synergies for Priest's Tourist card or else Priest is gonna stay stuck in 'meh ville'. No focused synergies yet again.
@@OrthodoxRabbiBillClinton I was saying that idea of giving a minion a sort of pseudo windfury is too situational. You need at least 2 minions, both of them need to stick, one needs to be notably stronger than the other, neither can be frozen, there can't be a taunt in the way with the ability to kill the first one, Frost Trap cannot be on the field unless you have a third minion to set it off... there's just a lot of shit that can go wrong. As for the idea of "oh you just switch an enemy strong minion and a friendly small minion" though. Yes, that IS less situational, but if that was worth playing, then we would have seen the Origami cards from Whizbang's Workshop get played in literally any decks.
Well, I love tourist concept at first. Many classes released before seems synergised between 2 classes. But the priest one is very unsynergise and worse it seems designed for DH not for priest. I just hope they could design cards that feel good to play on their own class and feel synergised when playbon tourist deck.
Yeah, I can't stress how disappointed I am with the Priest package here. Demon Hunters are making out like a bandit with LOTS of DH synergy. Priests themselves? Well, lets see if the 'Hunter' package we see tomorrow will do anything with the Voljin Hunter Tourist because as it stands, priests are looking pretty sad as right now.
Making a deck where Aman'Thul and Yogg are your highest cost minions is insanely easy. It's harder not to do such a deck. So whatever RIP summons it gets erased or stolen instantly. Just for 3 mana 2 times a game, which is insane.
Oh, they actively change their states based on what's currently at the top! I disnt initially realize tgat. I thought it locks their form into whatever was at the top at the time of Battlecry. That explains why Twilight Medium can tweak it
Giving priest burst makes their drafon extra turn legendary (zurimi?) way more threatening, I think. You basically need one nightshade tea during the game at any time, discover zurimi(?), your sauna regulars and acupunctures (which priestnis really good at) and you got 22 extra damage kind of free for your extra turn. Combined with the 4/6 taunt that costs one less for each 1 mana card you played, that will be 30. I know: it seems like much has come together, but I feel like priest is good enough at filtering, that there might be a combo-deck using this self-damage-cards more than an aggrodeck.

could Rest In Peace be an aggro card with giants? if there is a way to get a giant killed fast enough you could get a giant and they get a 4 drop. might not work now, but could in the future with the right giants/tutors.
It’s basically a reprint of Wrathguard from TGT. Of course, that card was famously Fucking Abysmal even during a time where minion burn wasn’t as insanely strong as it is now.
This is likely the most nitpicky take I'll ever have, but man I hate how the pain cards seem to have zero coherence flavor-wise. Why does sensory deprivation give you a copy of a minion? What does a sauna regular have to do with dealing damage to yourself? Acupuncture isn't just mindless pain, the guy in the artwork even looks relaxed as hell!

For example, the cards that say "random" are lying, there are algorithms that decide which cards to choose, for example not ALL the cards with assault but only those that the blizzad itself decides periodically, and among these there are algorithms that favor one of the two players, in this way Blizzard balances the game artificially and favors those who give it money based on who doesn't pay, for example it has created a specific arena for those who never pay using gold, where it only throws in these players together with certain categories such as RU-vidrs who buy accounts full of gold to chain draft and make "incredible arena" videos, this thing is even declared and admitted by blizzard itself which thus admits to manipulating everything as it wants and cashing in your dollars in exchange, to millions of dollars, yes you understand, you pay, you get scammed, you get stressed and the only one who laughs in your face... is your beloved blizzard... 😂😂🤣🤣…dear blizzard I will write the truth in every social network, in every corner of the web, me and all those who understood like me
