#ReperfusionConfusion.
Busting out the infrared so you can watch in real time how percussion can reperfuse and increase the microcirculation around a potentially painful area. (Jump ahead at 3:00 to watch the magic). 90 seconds with the Hyperice #hypervolt or similar and you can see the difference in blood flow. Garbage out, groceries in.

Try a video of Bill Withers singing Ain't no sunshine 2.m.08s long on RU-vid, and watch the performance of the percussionist at the end. The way to go!

How do you know that was not just skin surface area friction from rubbing that machine on it causing it to register as heat by the first device rather than real deep vascular circulation?

First, I thought the same, but not the whole area was red after the treatment. It was just the ligament. So it can't be just the skin, otherwise the whole area would have been red/hot.

COOL! - additional video idea (that would be VERY helpful to send to my dad and I would imagine for a lot of older folks) - this idea applied specifically to sciatica and/or generative disc disease pain Love your stuff, thanks!

Personally, I use three of the Hyperice products and they're superb for exactly these sorts of applications. Helps me recover much faster with less down time after a hard workout.

👍🏼 thank you, this is well done. "Bloodflow is always a good idea."

Curious how this would compare to simply putting a heating pad on an area or soaking in some warm/hot water? If the argument is increased temperature=increased circulation and that’s the goal then I’d imagine that applying heat would be the easiest, most direct path to get where you’re trying to go?

Perhaps that's why paraffin waxers are great for some people, but it's a messier undertaking that a gun massage.

Pretty cool. Would love to see a comparison between the hypervolt and the theragun.

Or between hypervolt and a hot towel, if the argument is heat increases circulation.

Random question but i wanted to know your thoughts on the 'neck hammock'. Stay away or could it be another tool for neck relief?

Would be interesting to see this (FLIR) pre/post flossing. As others have stated, are we increasing heat or blood flow here, and what is the result of each.

Great video. Any advice for golfer’s elbow- where the pain is deep into the elbow? There’s bone on top of the pain

Hi there ! Thx for the tip again ! Can MTPs (traduced as deep transverse massages and used in France by physiotherapists) give the same result on local blood flow ? They are often recommended for the treatment of tendinitis and I use to do some when I start feeling tendon pain/stiffness/.

That is just heat from friction.

Could be. But less likely as the space stays warm. Certainly other effects here? Test/retest

Are we sure that’s blood flow? Couldn’t that just be heat from the increased kinetic energy you just input?
