You really created the impession of distance with those background hills/mountains & you really captured the colours of wild Scottish foreground under a gloomy grey sky. Thank you for sharing this

I don't know whether the thin white lines between the mountain layers were intentional or not but I like the way they separate the mountains. Great technique for creating the disappearing mountain tops too.

I love watching your process when you paint. I think you are way too critical of yourself. I think this is beautiful. I aspire to be able to do this someday. I so want to go to Scotland and see these places for myself. Keep up the good work. And don't be so hard on yourself.

I spent a short time in Scotland back in February 1983 and took a lot of pictures and even did a couple of paintings from them, but none of them managed to bring the place back to me like those disappearing mountain tops of yours. Lovely. Thanks, Lois.
