Sherwin Williams just released their 2023 paint forecast! These colors are important to know as we move into the next year because these colors will influence more than paint. Whether you're looking at home decor or furniture these colors will be popping up for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and offices. A few years ago I painted our bedroom a color similar to "Likeable Sand" and included our slanted ceilings in the paint color, so our room feels like a comforting, calming, rejuvenating we-cave. I absolutely love it. I love that this is now an "in" color for 2023. Haha. Do what you love and trends may eventually "follow" you, even if it takes years.

We painted the exterior of our home, Pinky Beige a few months ago. We're on a main/busy road and at first got a lot of "you painted your home THAT color?!" But I think it's grown on our neighbors ....lol. We get a lot of compliments now for going outside what's trending.

Some people decorate once and they are done. Other people like their environment to change. Thankfully there is no right or wrong, but if you're wanting a small change (vase, pillow, rug) or a big change due to moving house or renovations etc., then this video is chockful of inspiration. I have a living room, first room visible in the whole house and it needs a reboot. However, I still dearly love my neutral gray tones in my family room and bedroom. They are still bringing me joy. I lived with white walls and beige in my bedroom for more than 10 years and I'm not going back. But now I need to incorporate the grays in the rest of the house with the gold-beige furniture I am holding onto because it still looks great and fits the front room. I think I will find the blend working with the neutrals in these pallette. Thanks for sharing them along with your ideas for incorporating them into our homes.

The first thing I did this morning was to have a coffee and watch this video. Then I went out to drive Uber around Fairbanks, Alaska. When I had customers from Georgia I mentioned you and they watch your vlog! How cool is that! Now about the colors. I love my condo colors - Baby Fawn and Kendall Charcoal. I added some sparkle to the bathroom with blue and gold wallpaper and then brought the blue/green into the living room. Later a peach/orange color came into the mix serendipitously and so when I chose the tile backsplash I ended up with a peach, blue and green tile from Wayfair. The whole space feels very connected now. SO. I like bits of the new pallet.

My aesthetics are still the neutral black, white with a touch of natural wood and gold accent. These colors are to "wild" for me. I also add cheetah print where I can, sparingly.

I’ve used Iron Ore for 12 years. I love it. We painted built ins, island, doors etc… white and black are my fav then add a pop of color with accent pieces. It never gets old to me. I think it’s classic.

As someone who really loves color, I can definitely agree that I'm not a fan of the last pallette either. My favorite is Biome. It feels sophisticated and far from trendy. I'm also a big fan of sage colors and silver greys. They're just so calming, and they work well with my soft leathers and wood furniture.

Personally, I am so tired of grey that I'm glad to see so many other colors!! Most of outside are beautiful shades of green and blue because they're so soothing, and we don't tire of them. Also so many shades of brown are coming back, and I, for one am glad. Earthy colors are me. It's fun a can of paint can bring out our individuality, and doesn't cost all that much. I love the second palette, biome, it's quite similar to what I have in my home. I live close to nature (a river runs passed my windows) so I've embraced a very natural pallete. I even have some soft yellow, but it's with natural beeswax candles so it doesn't feel artificial, or sometimes some florals.

I love the last palette but not the top row. The bottom are right up my valley. The skyline steel on the walls with an indigo couch and black magic and homestead brown accents would be beautiful!!

The university in the town I live in uses green and yellow and Daffy Duck as their mascot so every time I see green and yellow together it looks like an over zealous football fan to me. But that pink ish orange with all of those tan neutrals and some black pop s! Delicious!

I've used Silvermist for many years. It goes great with Swedish antiques. I would not use any of the other colors in the four trends, not even the right white for me. But, they will all be gone in 12 months. I'll keep using Silvermist.

I think I like using muted tones with black, more like you Valentina. Down the road, if I change and want more color, it will be so much easier to add it to a neutral base. My muted toned house also lets me add seasonal items easier, too.

I love the Lore colors, I think Sherman Williams did a good job at grabbing lots of colors for lots of divers cultures. I like it’s not just one color! I think it helps everyone make their home more home! And you can select what speaks to you. Also, I love that you don’t exclude certain ideas about homes, it’s personal space and nothing is really wrong, or gross, maybe it’s not you, but I love that you say be you. It one of the best thing about your channel.

My favorite color palette is Origin. Will definitely be using, Skyline Steel, Pure White, Indigo, black magick with a sprinkling of pepperry. And will be adding gold as my hardware. This will work great in the South African climate.

We have started using peel-n-stick wallpaper, as they come in a variety of shades and patterns. Also, it's a more affordable option for people like me who don't follow "trends", but rather, enjoy switching things up! 😉

Evergreen fog is the color I chose for an accent with my front door and side panels. The trim is going to be a soft cream color or light taupe in the brown color family.

I felt with the first two pallets that I was back in the 80’s. Had walls, bed linen and accessories etc in those colours. Think I’ll just stick with my white walls.

I’m in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mid way through building a new house, and I am in love with pallet #2. The main wall color through out is Agreeable Gray, and now I have all sorts of ideas popping into my head with all of those colors. Major dilemma solved. Thanks V.

I used Agreeable Gray in three bedrooms and Shiitake in the main adjacent rooms. I used Sea Salt in the bathrooms. All three colors play nicely together.

Biome is closest to the color palette in my home. I love it! I worked the yellow into our dark basement as an accent color to bring some sunshine in. I also use gold as the accent metal in the rest of the house. I think it works. My style is probably best described as “classy coastal”. Watching your channel has helped my elevate my style. 🙏 I’m in the Atlanta area, too!

I know the earthy creamy dusty blushy colors are very stylish, but I personally can't deal with them on big surfaces. Cool tones of greys and greens on the other hand feel clean and calming and are always my go to!

I prefer the first two pallets but enjoy a few of the other colours from the last two pallets. I actually have some of the colours in my home now. My living room is a navy with, saffron coloured accent wall and I've accented with some pillows in greys, soft muted pinks, violets and earthy browns. They all look lovely together.

I've been watching your channel for several months and I love your style, color choices, and joy for life and work. My favorite colors are purples, blues, and greens and have been throughout my life. These are the colors that I wear with black. I love the calmness of your colors and designs and I crave that calmness in my home. After watching this video all the way through and thinking through my feelings of the different paletts Origin fits me best. That being said I need help to incorporate my favorites into a calm, cohesive way in my home. I've been thinking about painting and now I've found my palette.

The 1st 2 are my favorite because that is basically what I already have in my own home. I will stick with that because I am not one to do a lot of changing. I prefer to stick with neutrals and change my furniture or accessories to update here and there. I also tend to buy things that are classic that I will want to keep for years to come as we tend to hang on to things for about 10+ years. 🎉 Congratulations on hitting 300K!🎉 I'm so happy for you and Jack.❤️

Oh my goodness BIOME. I love the FRESH, outdoor vibe from this. I have also loved the Terra cotta hues of Nexus for years now, trying to get back on taupe bandwagon without having PTSD from early-2000s beige and cream, but haven't figured out how to bring them into my space... I am PNW girl, however I am not a big fan of the light sky blue of biome in a design scheme... I like light whites and greys, my kitchen is done up in those colors of marble, but with navy blue lowers. I am adding plants galore to bring in the green, and trying to up my overall sophistication game by sticking within a pallet (like you recoomend) as i make new purchases - but somehow find myself more in the realm of lore... which I don't love as a whole.. I'm struggling! I love the vibes of biome, but how do I shift a whole pallet when I've got certain colors that I can't eliminate from my base pallet?? I've got the warm white walls, greys in kitchen and couch, but then there's orange-toned hardwood (don't even get me started, but I can't change it), and a navy blue art-piece that I can't get rid of because it is from my world travels. I'm in a SMALL space, so I can't just move art to a different room. It's unfortunate for me that I see no signs of navy in any upcoming pallets.... could you do a video on working with small spaces, and the best ways to change the color pallet over the years, and best elements to keep neutral?

Buy the most expensive and permanent things in neutrals and buy accessories- even paint in the fashion colors so updating them isn’t a problem. Think of a bathroom- tiling and fixtures in the most neutral of colors (what can you live with for 25 years?) and at least one paint color that you can live with for 5-10 years. Next, towels/shower curtain/art could be changed out seasonally if you wanted, and those are the best places you could experiment with color. In a living room or dining room, think art, pillows, throw blankets, even rugs or window treatments for a seasonal or easy design shift. -Drexel University BS in Design

Kathryn is 100% on and she is right in that you should always use a neutral and long lasting capsule and bring in color through art and furnishings. Don't follow trends and you certainly don't have to change decor for the seasons. I have never seen any AD or renowned designer change their decor because it was winter vs summer. Go for long design and create the environment you want to live in and enjoy. Orange is opposite blue on the color wheel so if you brought in some accents of burnt orange or terracotta that could tie in your wood to your navy. Just remember the rule of 3 and make sure you have your accent colors in at least 3 places so that it has rhythm and looks purposeful.

Please before you do anything, know the difference between fashion and style. Fashion is what is hot now, but leaves rather quickly. Think of old wedding photos- the people dressed in fashion look dated in 30 years, those in classics could have teleported back from yesterday.

Ioved these pallets. We're building a farmhome. Like you i like neutrals and warm colors like the rock outside and my fireplace. I'm going to have medium stain on the knotty alder cabinets with matte black appliances so I need to pick a color for the open plan. I would like to stain the floors. I haven't decided on the color but i love bronze. My sink will be a copper. I sort of know what I like, but i don't know what color to pick for the wall and granite. Love your ideas.

The first two were my favorites. I've been drawn to those dusky pinks and mauves, a desert hue, for a while now. BUT I also can use the 2nd pallet where I am building currently. The carriage house is an extra large garage with a 1100sqft living space above it. The location is coastal Virginia; and one side is the blue waters of the Chesapeake Bay, and on the opposite side are the tall pines and evergreens and oaks and maples of the wooded landscape. So, the living space is in the trees and is like a tree house with a water view.

I was kind of going for Americana with browns, creams, blues and a little red (mountain home), but found pieces and old pieces brought in more variations on those colors, and I’m staring at more artisanal. So this is kind of reassuring maybe? Ha. I love the first three. I agree the last is tougher for your average person to work with. I need softer colors. Also, loving the warm trend. I lived in a gray and white home for 5 years (with some subtle blues and greens) that was honestly lovely for me, but only great for me for 5 years. I needed to go back to more warmth with our recent move. It’s exciting to see updated versions of the colors I loved as a child.
