I started out using the Chemical Guys compound but I like the 3D better over that I’m a hobbyist and I work in the sun so the 3-D product works better for me in that situation but they’re still nice products as well
I've only used there P40 finishing polish, wasn't very good, dusty has well. I haven't used a lot of polishes though - cutmax, perfect finish, 3d1, gyeon primer and megs 06.
Another great video. I have a love/hate relationship with Chemical Guys. Love their Hex Logic pads and their Honeydew snow foam. Hate their V-line product. The V-34 while it will remove defects it will haze and is a heavy duster. Their 36-38 are ok but I have other polishes that are better. I also got their Torq X 8mm polisher. It’s not powerful enough for me so I changed the backing plate from a 5” to a 4” plate and only use it for smaller ares...oh and I too rarely use the orange Hex pad...too aggressive. I use the white and black Hex pads all the time along with my Lake Country one. If you give a thumbs up to the 15mm Torq polisher I may consider it. I like the switch on all the time and the push button control controls.
Hello again. You're probably tired of me by now lol. But. I been following you for a while now. Your skill is awesome. I'm trying to copy or perfect it . I'm missing one thing. I can get the scratches and swirls out but I'm lacking that awesome shine. I'm just not getting that gloss. Any advice offered.
The hex logic orange is a heavy cutting pad lol you should’ve started with something like a green pad and gone from there. I never recommend starting with one of the most abrasive/stiffest pads.
I recently did a paint correction before a ceramic coating and found the orange hex to be too aggressive and left maring behind. My go to is a green hex logic with V34 and finish with V38.. works wonders.
Great risk vs reward judgment on those deeper flaws. I need to work on that. My OCD takes over in those scenarios and I always push the limits. It’s gonna bite me if I keep doing that. Thanks guys. Great job! Greg
Excellent tutorial and exposure to products I haven't used. By the way I tried a new soap, P & S Pearl. Wow, is it impressive. It is now my new go to contact soap with more lubricity than anything I've used in the last 30 plus years.
Love to watch your videos! Great turnaround on the paint even with one step. Maybe you will do some corrections using 3D ACA correction fluids if you have them? Havent seen many people use these and they look interesting with the ceramic abrasives.
Good question. The SpTA surprisingly is not that bad. After using it hours my hands aren’t humming like when I use the Rupes. But honestly I barely notice it anymore. I guess I got used to it.
Phil awesome job looks great you guys give awesome tutorial and do outstanding work as always be safe God bless William from extreme optimum auto detailing pr
The CG V line was my first ever attempt at polishing. I fully intended to do a 2 step correction using my underpowered Harbor Freight polisher and CG V 36. To make a long story short I did not like the polish because of the dusting, it got everywhere, I gagged as I polished and basically I removed it using a 50/50 91 % IPA. I never got to use the V38. It was not that bad, it did correct most of the swirls and minor scratches, the dust though, never ever for me. But hey, I learned and I still use CG products, except their polishes.
Hay Phil i have a question . Do you know how to make your own clay luber . I recently bought the turtle wax graphene spray and I wanna prep my truck for the winter.
Hi Phil. Good day to you and yours. Question. Lake country has a variety of pads. CCS. HDO. And FLAT. It looks like you're using the HDO. Am I right. And is there a difference between the three types of pads. Thankyou.
Hi. Nope we usually one a medium cutting/polishing pad only. The LC orange pads are the perfect pad for us. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c7eSHEBwgfM.html
The orange hex logic pad with 3D one has been my go to. Have not had any issues with hazing or marring on black Ford paint at least. The green one that someone else mentioned in the comments is also great. This video is right up my alley as I own the torq 10fx. Great job as always!
All products work fine. It's that we need to know what the paint needs. We need to have different pads, chemicals, other polishes. One size does not fit all.
@@MirandaDetailingThanks! I'll give them a try... Walmart and all my local auto parts stores no longer carry it. I heard they no longer offer that cleaner for some reason, I emailed them but haven't gotten a response.
Hey did you find the finishing polish to be more of a liquid? Kinda watery? I've gotten 2 now that are more of a liquid and I'm wondering If I got 2 bad bottles or they just have watery finishing polish.
Hi, I think Amazon sold out, amzn.to/3pcycsi But some local places may still carry it, www.pepboys.com/eagle-one-triple-cleaning-black-and-plasti-coat-foam/product/2197515
Thanks. Usually I’ll apply touch up before I apply the sealant. Or if I happen to apply the sealant first I just wipe the chips and some IPA then apply the touch up paint.
Hi Actually we made our own from photography lights and we bought these high lumen biulbs. I used them on this mobile job, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u1bQRhGJSac.html

Sir can i ask your expirience with white spta pads ( the series that they look similar to rupes). Thanks , and congratulations on your video. My kind regards
@@MirandaDetailing i am a fuge fan of LC pads. Unfortunatelly we have many many avaliability problems in my country so we are trying for alternatives. only LC (very amall avaliability) rupes, and koch chemie pads are availiable here, along with some maxshine pads(they look like..spta with different label to me) thanks again Phil sir for your support
@@MirandaDetailing Hello dear Phil. I received today my SPTA order. ( Rupes like line) . I ordered 25-30 pieces total because i change them often during polishing). ( We have avaliability problems with bug brands for months in my country). 5inch version. White soft finish polish par seems on , decent velcro and performance. The yellow one ( i can tell the difference with the older rupes yellow except the maybe better black velcro of spta now) i liked it decent pad. Teh rex waxing is great for just waxing!!. I received by my mistake on the order the coarse blue, OMG how much harsh par it is!! I scared to use it!!! If it get hot it softens a but very very stiff!!! ( I dont have the green one). I still think that my orange LC hdo/sdo/force pads are maybe better quality, and noone of those spta i have now ( blue, yellow, white) is not same striffness like oranges.
Great video, I wish they had sent you there green pad, I like there green pad with V36 or V38. I think it would had worked great there, awesome stuff th0!!
Yeah, green pad would have been perfect. I don't use a lot of foam unless I have to, but I really like their green polish pad too. It finishes a bit better than most and has about the same cut. I outgrew their polishes a long time ago, but I kept the green and red pads. The red pad can save the day finishing some finnicky soft clears without a lot of headache. 👍✌
From what I have seen by most of detailers in USA, yes. They all put compounds, polish, soaps, waxes in a place that is above 60 degrees but also that must be within the back label of the product so it gives you a better idea. In Puerto Rico we don't have to deal with that. Hope this works good for you.👋👍🇵🇷
