The Surfrajettes perform "live in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a fan of their music and like how they present it, learned my first Ventures licks in the 60's, like a lot of my guitar playing friends. Film by Tracy Lee
For the title of this VID I failed to notice the slash between the song titles. I was only familiar with "Pipeline". Thank you for bringing that/this to our attention.
Really like the hair styles and clothes of the women playing the guitars and bass - very cool presentation - and they've really captured the sound of the surf era.
Nice job Ladies. This should be extended to a 5 minuet version. Probably better in person. With all due respect an "head shot" of each would have been nice. I did notice the equipment on stage. And Tracy Lee, Video was great but audio needs an upgrade. I had headset on. Although this was a live performance, I like chanell separation.
Actually they play a nice mixture of original songs and covers in their own style. Quite soon I think they will have enough material for a full set of originals.
Tracy Lee, please take this the right way... can you move more in future? The quality is fine but why is this video so static? Why aren't we getting close-ups of the drummer? Maybe the audience would wake up and shift itself if the camera was turned on them! Just because the music's from the 1960s, you don't have to emulate the fixed rostrum style of those days. As an occasional stills photographer at concerts I move more than this! It would look so much more engaging if we had different angles, pans, zooms/close-ups etc from time to time, especially as the band members themselves are (too) static.
I feel like this band will never improve if people keep telling them how awesome they are. I mean the whole shtick, it's kind of boring. They don't really build up to anything, the solos are kind of flat and uninteresting. Where's the hate? Has the whole internet gone soft?
