Blows my mind that you can get such precise, meaningful strokes with a seemingly fully loaded, medium sized brush. I struggle to get these effects with a detail brush and very small, controlled amounts of paint.
I've been following your tutorials for years Dr Faust and you continually amaze with your colour combinations, educate with your technique and approach which inspires a novice like myself to keep improving. Thank you! That cloak, wow works wonderfully well!
Lovely choice of colours. The Vallejo Greens and Browns are one of the (many) strengths of both the Model and Game Ranges. I think I have this figure in the stash, I'll pull it out and give it a go. Thanks for another excellent tutorial!
Having a "HUGE" Halfling army after 40+ years of collecting/painting figures (Now 4000 Halflings & 10,000 Dwarves) I LOVE this video :-D ReaperMinis have some of the best Halflings I've ever collected, from citizens through warriors and even Magicians, so I am VERY happy to pay the little extra for no shipping costs by buying in bulk from them. This figure reminds me more of Sam Gamgee than Bilbo, but who cares, it's a Halfling, full of wonderful detail, texture, character and fun to paint. Love your videos, and can't wait for more :-)
