My spring break just begun and I’m so excited to catch up on all your videos. Thank you for posting so much content for us! I plan to watch them all and to get inspired to paint. Back to the video:)
I am definitely attracted to the way you paint so loosely. It brings me so much joy to watch you create. It’s weird but I can’t watch people paint, that paint realism. I think that’s what it’s called…? It just stresses me out for some reason. LOL 😆
Such a lovely video. Spring has me inspired to pick up my watercolors again. I work in all mediums but soft pastels and watercolor are my favorite. Generally during the fall/winter months I prefer soft pastels and when the weather warms up I gravitate towards my watercolors. Lately I've been hand crafting my own sketchooks and teaching myself various binding methods. I have done art my entire life and in the 50+ years of making art with all kinds of mediums, I still don't think I have a particular style and doubt I'll ever have one this late in the game. I get bored and I want to try as many different things as I can. I like music too when I paint, but there are certainly times when I only want to hear nature while I paint. Happy painting!
I loved this video and I loved being able to paint along! I did not realize how much I needed that. Your recent videos have really reminded me how important it is for me to just play with the paints and not have expectation. It is so freeing, and it definitely releases the creativity. Thank you for all the encouragement and inspiration you provide!
I love the idea of doing little botanicals loosely in a row , for future collage project . Happy you are enjoying the MozArt paint -neons are gorgeous! As always, I enjoy watching you create. I feel the same way as one of your followers, gigiartstudio. My style is not consistent because I feel there is so much to explore . At 60 , maybe I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do, having only discovered watercolours in 2020 … but I am enjoying learning and experimenting and meeting other artists. The Art world is a beautiful community and sharing our art together only makes us stronger , more confident in ourselves and happier . Also love music and at times silence when I work . I also love you showing us your favourite books , during your videos! Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
aw, thankyou for staying with me and all of your support. You inspire me back so much, !! I love your art. And appreciate all the art supply insights- these Mozart watercolours are some of my favourite colours. xx
Well I just love all of your videos, Allison but this one is extra special. The botanical/buttery page earlier in the video has given me so many ideas. Love your exploration and as others have said, your voice, spontaneity, and no music (on the video) is wonderful. Thank you!
I like to paint both with and without music. Depends on the day and how I feel. Sometimes, I like to focus in silence and sometimes I listen to something uplifting or someone talking. Thinking about it more clearly, I'm learning watercolour and I'm also learning acrylic painting. I found abstract methods in watercolour very freeing, and I've always had an interest in mixed media. As a child, teen and young adult i used to draw a lot, so I think the style I'm creating in the moment whether it's a intuitive painting or if it's a more planned piece of work which takes more concentration, is why I either listen to music or someone in the background or if I just focus more in silence. 😊 Thank you for your videos.
Your art practice helps me to be playful and have fun. I worked on the butterflies and botanical artwork today and found it so freeing. Thank you for your beautiful channel. The book with the artists journal was so interesting.❤
🎉liked already because we 've missed you sis. Welcome back . The. Simplicity and your colourful hues are amazing and I love how you talk. Missed you much dear.
Currently going through your videos, I like hearing you talk about what, how etc. This inspires me to take time out for me. I like your format and length of vid.
Good morning Allison. I can’t thank you enough for the sharing of your creative process, visually and spiritually! I turned on RU-vid and here you were! I can’t begin to share what life has thrown at me this past week. I am in my upper 50s and I’m not the spring chicken I once was! This is part of my situation, as I get older I am physically deteriorating(so to speak) but spiritually I am learning to soar! I do have close people in my life though that seem to be trying to pull me down. Using my kindness. Literally taking from me to benefit them!?! It’s hard to believe that the people you have spent your life loving and giving to the best of your ability could do this? I thank you for being so positive and uplifting! I really needed this! 💖🫶🏽💖🫶🏽💖🦋 I thank
