Aloha Bethany ! I have lived on the Kona side of the Big Island for over 20 years and I recognized that coastline right away . I am an oil painter and ceramic artist but I am enjoying learning about pastels . I joined your Patreon site so I can learn more about pastels . I love how you layer them. It really show depth and dimensionality .

Nice work Bethany. I have some Girault pastels and not fond of them because they are so small and don't last long. Also, they are so delicate that dropping them accidentally is disastrous.

Hi Bethany. I was wondering about when you reorder your NuPastels. I ordered 13 of them, all colors I use a lot, and when they came to me, they all had labels on them that were glued on -- it was SOOOOO difficult to get the labels off and it left a lot of glue residue on it. I was surprised to see them with labels on them as when I ordered the full set, none of them had labels on it. Now I dread reordering more because of the dreaded labels. Ugh. Was that a fluke or have you experienced that too?

Yes, the open stock come with the nasty labels. However, Nupastel has announced they are NO LONGER selling open stock (boohoo!) so we won't have the problem anymore. We also won't be able to pick and choose our colors anymore. I am bummed about it.

@@BethanyFields What???? That really stinks! I can't imagine why they'd stop people from buying their favorite colors. Now I'm bummed too. I heard that there is another brand very similar to NuPastel (but I forgot the name). I think I'll try to find out if they sell open stock. All other brands sell open stock, so that is just weird.
