Dear Gaynor, thank you very much for your beautiful site, the magnificent pictures, the information. What a pity, what a shame I don't speak the English language. But GOOGLE does translate works fine. I wish you a pleasant journey through France and many new impressions. I look forward to the next video from Them. Greetings to you Marie❤
Lovely video as usual Gaynor. Love it all. Can we have a sketchbook flip through perhaps again now it’s finished. I find those very inspiring. Enjoy your holiday. Hope you get chance to sketch and show. Can’t wait to see what you get up to. You are so inspiring💐
Hi Fiona, I have a plan....thinking about all things sketchbook.....a step by step guide on approaching a page or two when you have nothing particular in mind. Stay tuned !!! Have a fantastic week 🥰
Oh my word. I tried Gelli to make some cards. After painting 10 I thought next day Gelli print fun first try. Figured I've watched so much no problem using Gelli. Couldn't have made more a mess with little success lol. Apparently it really does take lots of practice to experiment. I ruined so many card stock. Will try next time on scraps
Don't give up, but yes use scrap paper to get the hang of it. How much paint, how much pressure etc etc. ! Keep all the gelli scraps for collage. Good Luck X
Thankyou and have a great trip through France Gaynor! - we’ve just got back 😊 Hope you get a chance to vlog and good luck choosing art supplies to take - I find it difficult to keep it to a minimum 😉
Thank you Gaynor for inspiring me to use a large sketch book, I love the way you hop around the studio and pick up different pictures, you have such energy. Enjoy your holiday heaps.
This makes me smile - as a child, I was often told I had 'ants in my pants' !!!! I thought I'd slowed down 😂SO pleased to hear you are enjoying a large sketchbook....room to explore 😍
When you brought out the two ‘violet’ paintings, I thought for sure you were going to drag a transparent blue through them somewhere with the scraper tools!! I really am loving the large cheese plant on canvas that you added the yellow to! Have a lovely trip. I look forward to seeing what your travels inspire! M xx
Hi Maria......I know, when in doubt get the tools out 😂😂 And this is spooky because as I write I'm looking at a sketchbook page that has just had a glaze !!! Have a great week 🥰
I really liked some of the gel prints you said would be collage fodder!! Also BIG fan of the watercolor cheese (will there be more??), and the abstract grey paintings - look forward to seeing where the smaller ones go. It's truly amazing how your creative style encompasses so many things! 🤩😍
Lovely progress!!! And Can't wait to see your travelling sketches. I Love seeing travel sketchbooks, but when I travel, I stuggle with time to draw, because my family never stands still in one place and we usually walk all day long. Bye and thanks for sharing your art!
Thankyou Gaynor for lifting my spirits on this cold gloomy day. Yesterday I was trying and failing to paint with gouache, the result was a very disappointing mess and then I thought "what would Gaynor do?" so I scratched into it and hey presto it was transformed into a copse of trees, I was quite pleased with myself😀 Have a lovely holiday, look forward to your holiday inspired creations X.
Love your innovative ideas and your joy in sharing…thank you…have you ever used iridescent paints? I mix a little in with my regular acrylic paints. There is a luminosity that that occurs that isn’t garish…
Hi Gaynor, looked at a womans sketchbook this morning, Debbie Axiac, do you know her? She paints the same plants that you do…so lovely. Please take a look here in RU-vid.
