European viewers, I have good news! FINALLY, you can pick up some of my Miniac merch and products at a cheaper shipping rate. PK-Pro is selling some of my stuff on their website and they ship out of Germany! It's been such a long time coming for me to figure something like this out so I'm happy to finally have it on lock. You can pick up the stuff here: www.pk-pro.de/Miniac_1 For people in the UK, I'm also working out a similar deal with Element Games, so stay tuned!
You can really tell how into this you are, itsgreat to see tge enjoyment. Also it was great to get to talk to you again at tup live. Keep up the great videos
Some of my favorite wargaming I have ever done was a year long Necromunda Dominion Campaign, where my Escher's managed to take victory. Such a fun system, and the MODELLING opportunities are literally endless. You know what they say, "Every model is a Necromunda model"
Its awesome to see you get into Necromunda, im getting back into too, converting and upgrading my leader and champs to make them look snazzier is amazing, even tho i Play Van Saar, im glad you joined the Hive!!!
I ran into some old skool Neceomunda players at my shop yesterday. They wanted to run a potential league, and you know what this video confirms I should do it. Dopem
Great paintjobs on these Cawdor. Burn the herertics!! i can recommend bomb rats. Sooo much fun :D . wysiwyg in Munda is so overrated btw. i play since 2017 release. i played so many different setups for all the gangs. would drive me nuts to magnetize all that and paint all the different weapons. normally we go heavy weapon guy needs heavy weapon in hand on the model and CC guys need CC weapons but thats it. In a campaign after 2-3 games u know what ur enemies have and u can always check their gang sheet.
I find it spectacular when you're so jazzed! You can hear the excitement in your voice. The energy is addictive. It makes me want to paint. Congrats on the finished warband!
One of the best videos I've seen on this channel in months. No complaints about your content in general but how to hobby stuff is why I started following. Paint reviews and how to and equipment stuff that might be applicable to me being better at my hobby are awesome. Thanks!
Amazing video. This is probably the best hobby content I've seen in some time. I'd forgotten what really good video are like. I loved your earlier work where you were pumped to work out the science of painting. I love the techniques vids from Vincent and the humour in Jon's. But this passion has been missing for a while. Covering conversions, airbrushing, painting, haning opinions and lore!!! Brilliant. Some time ago you asked yourself the question on whether to step away from popular video titles and focus on what you want to do. This video screams of the latter and it comes across so well. I know this would have taken a lot of work in the background, but just showing minis you painted at home also adds to the feel of the video. 10/10! Well done Scott. Be proud.
If yoy enjoy small scale skirmish games with RPG elements, the fantasy genre, and want a simple ruleset you should check out Frostgrave. Its super fun, and even has a scifi version called Stargrave, but Frostgrave seems to have a tighter, more fleshed out tone and theme to it. Also, amazing paint job! I love green minis, and these rule!
I.. reaaaally.. reaallly reaally enjoied this video. Its like your old videos. You look happy and is clear that you ejoyied each moment of the makin this video. Your jokes are... returned!! yess yes!!!... Love it!!! the Think that I ddin't like.. it was only 30 mins and... I want moree!!!!!!
Hey Scott, try putting the oil paint on some cardboard for half an our to soak up some off the oil, this sould help stop the separation when you add the mineral spirit.
Yes Scott! You're back. This is the energy and excitement that has been missing for a while. Its great to see. You've made me dig out my necromunda gang whilst watching your vid. Glad to see the passion back and I'm looking forward to seeing more of these. Keep riding that high!
I jumped back into Necromunda after being away for more than 20 years and it’s been so much fun! We just wrapped up a Dominion campaign and we’re trying a narrative Cinderak Burning campaign with vehicles next.
Necromunda has some really cool models. I used Escher to make my "Cult of the Ancient Muse" Chaos Cultists to run in Kill team alongside "The Illuminated" a band of Loyalist Alpha Legion who use cultists to lure out the Eclisiarchy because they know that the Eclesiarchy are fully Traitor to the emperors glorious vision due to the fact they follow Leticio Divinitatus an unholy text written by Lorgar Aurellian. The cult of the ancient muse found ancient terran music recordings in an old machine spirit somewhere on their colony and took the names of the female rockstars therein Members of said cult include Unit Type------------Name--------Equipment Cultist Gunner-----Belinda-----The beat (Heavy stubber) Cultist Gunner-----Holly---------Flattery (Heavy stubber) Cultist Gunner-----Anne---------Dreamboat (Flamer) Cultist Gunner-----Tiffany------Tommy (Flamer) Cultist Fighter-----Joan----------Blackheart (Brutal assault weapon), Auto pistol Cultist Fighter-----Grace---------Alice (Brutal assault weapon), Auto pistol Cultist Fighter-----Suzanna-----Valentino (Brutal assault weapon), Auto pistol Cultist Fighter-----Debbie--------Heart of Glass (Autogun) Cultist Fighter-----Martha--------Muffin (Autogun) Cultist Fighter-----Martika-------Temptation (Autogun) I have a mini for a cult champion but since you never run that and I don't have a roster slot for her Stevie is relegated to the shelf. Cultist Champion-----Stevie-------Shotgun Flavour is why I love KIll team (and Skirmish size games in general), I have 8 teams each with their own Backstory and lore and custom names for each individual operative and wargear item (where appropriate, Tau operatives for example wouldn't hold sentimental attachment to their gear) Be it Memoirs of Isstvan (20 Loyalist Istvaan III survivors) The Illuminated and the Cult of the Ancient Muse (Loyalist Alpha Legion) The Rusted Host (Death guard) The Shrouded (Word Bearers Legionaries) Splinter Tendril Marianis (Biolumincent Tyranids from the Twilight planet of Torax IV) Kauyon Yash Savon and Cadre D Yanoi Ta'ro'cha Ko'vash Tau'va (Pathfinders and Hunter Cadre) or Cult of the Twilight Starchildren (Wyrmblade) They all have wonderful flavour and background.
Man to me, Necromunda should be like this...just extra...batshit extra. Having millions of candles on the shoulders? Of course! 'MUNDA BYOTCH! There is no such thing as overkill or gawdy in this game. It makes me want to try Mordheim, where as i see Necromunda as Mad Maxx, i want the same for mordheim as my personal Van Helsing dark and over the top fantasy version.
Hell yeah Necromunda! Cawdor is the best gang! Hopefully, one day, you check out the FAAAAAAR superior original Necromunda in the community edition! Old metals are where it’s at!
Nice!! Looks like youre having a ton fun, and I cant imagine Necromunda would be something you would actually enjoy, its quite refreshing seeing you try something new that isnt fantasy haha. Always like to see Necromunda gain some more exposure on youtube, thus the community. I dont know much about it myself and to my laziness have yet to dive into it haha. Im actually just now getting into GW's skirmish games though. Im starting with killteam currently since I already have teams avialable to play within my three armies. Probably will pick up Warcry at some point since Im just now getting in AoS with my collection of sylvaneth box sets. Gonna get that new Sylvaneth Warcry team and my journey into AoS will begin
Hi Scott, first of all awesome video and amazing paint jobs! With your energy and ambition you also got me kinda hyped and interested for Necormunda. It would be really aweseom to have a more in depth look into your narrative campaing. As someone who never played 40K nor Necromunda I have not clue where to start. I would appreciate a video much like you did with your AoS escalation league. Cheers from Germany
Necromunda was my gateway (well... besides Man 'O War), into games. I love the story archs and the silly imbalances... it takes advantages of the imabalances. I painted names on scrolls on the bases etc. So happy to hear you have discovered Necromunda.
I've always enjoyed your videos and I've been playing Necromunda for a while now. If you want a fun kitbashing challenge do an outcast gang there are no official models and a fun twist pick corpse harvesting party as the delegation and you can make a blood cult(vampire/ghoul) themed list.
Gang looks amazing and you inspire me to try more conversions! Necromunda has such a cool vibe but the ruleset is hot garbage. We prefer to use the Necromunda story and vibe with Gang Wars rules from Onepage. Sorry GW you are god-awful at game design (great minis and story though).
Crazy how everyone is getting into Necromunda lately. I'm working on a heavily converted counts-as-Goliath Beastmen gang at the moment, I feel like for a kitbasher there is no better GW game than 'Munda.
Oh yes, I've been waiting for this video! Necromunda is almost as cool as Mordheim. And I am so happy to see the greatsword bearing lunatic come together after the awesome clips I've heard on TUP.
This video is perfect, Scott, thank you! Gonna pick up some Delaque dudes myself, and convert them! Would love to know which yellow brown paint you use for ropes
Awesome gang! It is just the same with Mordheim, GW's specialist games are the one's that will truly be eternal. Their mainline games are only the gateway. This got my juices flowing to go make another warband! Keep the good stuff coming!
You've done some really nice paint jobs here, and some cool terrain pieces to boot. This must be a blast to see on the tabletop! I'm not a fan of the pure white backdrops showing off the paint jobs though, it's very bright on a large screen, and a couple of shots looked a bit overexposed. The shots of the models on the terrain backgrounds looked great though. Most importantly, it's great to see you enthusiastic to be lobbying on your own terms :)
Do I spot a red(?) helmeted Vader for Shatterpoint on your desk (@2:17)? Cool gang, really dig the purple candles, the perfect amount of silly for this game
Hell friggin' yeah!!! so glad to hear the hobby swerve back in your person. such a great game that really embodies immersion and rewards outside the box thinking and embracing. Hope to see more Necro content and your future gangs!
I bet there is a lot of metal fans like me watching your videos, so i would like to recommend karl casey. Songs like collider or spitting acid for your videos or anyone. Awesome cyperpunk! And its so awesome!
Ive taught people this game that didn't even know what a wargame is..and they loved it. Like, they were still bringing it up a month later. Maybe its wargaming in general but im going with,.. its necromunda.
Good to have another video! Took you long enough 🤣 But yout shall be forgiven, as thine righteous path is driven by divine love for the Empire. Let outh be cleansed by his light
Cool video! Really like the color cheme and paintjobs of your minis. I did find it a bit hard to actually see the minis with the combination of split shots, zoomed out perspective, and panning or roatating motion and had to pause and zoom in my video player to get a better look. The panning specifically gave me a bit of eye fatigue as nothing ever seemed to stay still. I still really liked the video and hope to see more soon!
Not that there's anything wrong with your conversion, but the blunderbuss with purgation shot is really just a primitive shotgun with incendiary rounds, not a full flamethrower. A blunderbuss is a weapon with a flared barrel that's used to fire whatever scrap the shooter crams into it, so I usually use the polearm that has the appropriately flared tip to represent it. Just throwing that out there for anyone who sees this and gets worried they need to do a full conversion just to run the gang's star weapon.
Necromunda is my happy place. I'm not sure what that says about me as a person. So glad to see you getting the munda fever it's imo hands down the best game GW has ever made. Fight me.
Talking about how the Whetstone and blade would be too heavy for the guy with a back covered in whole wax candles and a big spire looking thing in his back is really funny like I doubt the sword is the weight he’s worried about
