Painting ON A SOLID GOLD Canvas *this was interesting* 

I feel like she could have done the pixie dust tree with the waterfalls and pools of pixie dust and that would have looked pretty cool.

I was thinking the The scene in Rapunzel when she and Flynn are in the boat and all those lanterns are floating up above them.

I would paint something Greek inspired in black on top of the gold.

I would do Aladdin inside the Cave of Wonders, with heaps of gold surrounding him. Could have included Magic Carpet, Abu, the lamp, but the primary focus would be towers of golden objects.

I know that in art history a lot of paintings used to have gold under-paintings because the tones would come out very nice I believe

I would draw Road to El Dorado scene. Love this movie, so much gold and humour.

I'd probably do something like tutankhamun's burial mask or a simple design in black, using the gold of the canvas as a background, like a solid black tree

You could paint with a translucent gel (or nail polish), so you get the effect of gold shining through. Might be a nice way to paint water?

I'd draw the inside of the genie's lamp, like the inside of his house

The sunrise at the beginning of The Lion King would be great on that panel.

As someone who is sitting here colouring in every individual mermaid tail scale with 5 separate shades of pencil crayon for each all while also using different shades of the same pencil, I cannot fathom how simply you were able to make a piece with treasure in it. I would have done all the insane details, and the shelves would have been dripping. There would be all manner of colours to include gems, and the details would go so small that a video camera would have a difficult time picking up everything because the pixels wouldn't be small enough. But that's why you're an amazing RU-vidr and I can't get a single thing shot for a video lol. I get so bogged down in the detail, and I love making details so much that I *have* to do it. It's just not in me to do otherwise haha. I think it's amazing that you can make something so pretty in such a short time, and allude to detail without actually having to put it in. It's something I really need to work on, but at the same time because making the details is my favourite part (albeit a little tedious at times) I am not sure it's a habit I'll ever be able to break. If I had a gold canvas, I would want to paint something that reminds me of the first time you see the treasure room in the tiger cave in Aladdin. I would put the lamp on its pedestal in the middle, and the treasure all around. I would have painted the things that weren't gold randomly within, and painted the outlines of the gold things with the thinnest paint pen I could find (probably the super XS posca that I have in white but I'd get black and grey to help with distance) I find they REALLY help with detail. I am sure some people think of it as cheating, but it's really no different than using a crusted stiff, super tiny brush haha. Anyway, just my two cents. I haven't commented in a while and I wanted to give an opinion. I hope I didn't come across as though I was condemning how you painted this, it's not my intention. I truly wish I could get the illusion of detail so I didn't give up on so many pieces due to how long they are taking.

It took me some time to come up with an idea, but I think the gold panels would be great for a egypt/desert theme. And thanks Chloe for trying to get rid of the echo. This video sounded a lot better :)

That canvas would be so perfect with some bees and beehives or golden leaves and coloured flowers..but me i would just doodle with black marker because I'm lazy 😅

Chloe, you should do the same but opposite with a blank canvas and use actual gold flakes, and compare the process and results. 😍

Oooh! When I did a portrait of my kitty that passed, I primed the canvas with gold acrylic first and it really made the paint seem to glow in the light.

I love that all the ideas she had were Disney. That just fully reflects her 😂😂😂

Those panels remind me of those scratch to sketch kits my dad used to do. They were all blacked out then you’d scratch the black off to revile the golden metallic under. He did some very cool pieces. And with that said you did amazing. I’d try some line art, some kind of a legend of Midas and the golden touch.

I think you did great with this. I would have tried to do something that required more gold, like a city of gold or a gold dragon or maybe someone just blinged out in gold. You could also do some cool gold & black or gold and different colors abstracts or a sunset with the sun being gold. Ok, now I’m thinking too much, lol.

Love it!! If it was me I thought about ancient egyptian mythology, they loved gold everything so maybe a pharaoh or the tombs or the god of the underworld Anubis (he is supposed to have the golden head of a dog)

I would love to see something Uncharted on one of these. For example the opening credits for 4 are pen and ink drawings with an antique looking background, that would be so cool.

I would have put some sort of silhouette so that the gold really shines in the background.

I would paint the inside of a cathedral.. golden leaf and things inside.. at least there's lots of rococo stuff on my country to inspire it tbh. Maybe some ancient Greek mythology inspired thing too.. gold was huge so could make a difference... I honestly thought you were going to do genie's Lamp tho xD

Loved it! Personally I would do a black silhouette of a crazy deer skull and flowers, with the gold being all the negative space in the skull and background.

I’ve seen the stop motion Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer way too many times. Whenever anyone on TV or movies says that something is made of gold, I automatically hear Yukon Cornelius shouting “GOLD!” in my head.

You said that thing about the stack of coins, and brushing it on like a thousand times. That is exactly why I want an iPad and the Apple pencil. Because, while I'm not saying it's not drawing, it is easier to be fair. I feel like I could get all of the creative images I have in my head that I'm unable to draw, I feel like I could bring those to life.

One I first saw the gold canvas, it reminded me of Savala Art’s gold series. Love the deep, rich blues against the gold background!!!

Look up Byzantine hagiography. It's a traditional religious-themed style that is still used today by the Greek Orthodox Church. The backgrounds are usually solid gold. Traditionally gold leaf, I believe. If someone wanted to be quick, this is something they might do. Also, how much did you pay for this? If it was a lot more expensive than you imagined, then it could be a canvas prepared for a hagiography.

Love love love the colours you used.. Youve actually have quite a lot of gold around the painting, a vinegarette style looks good, like a snapshot of the underground world. I must admit I'd have had a Dragon sleep guarding his gold. Lying upon it, like the huge scaly god of his lare that he is LOL!! ❤️
