Stewart & Marina: Love your newly acquired Iroko pile. We used white oak on our new engine stringers but that teak will be splendid, truly marvelous. Interior looks awesome, Marina changed her wardrobe in each sector. She must have been sweating like crazy from all the hard work performed with this massive undertaking.

Guys, painting is absolutely the best way to make a visible difference. Hint: so you dont end up doing things three times, start at the inside of the hull and work inwards. Sealing 40yo glass inside your lockers is the best thing you can do to prevent future issues 😃

Rebuilding a boat is similar to running an ultra long marathon... you just have to keep going... and keep going... and keep going. So many ups and downs along the way. Grueling. Physically, psychologically and emotionally. Good luck. I really enjoy your videos.

Wow your doing amazing I really like the finished colour it blends so well and brightens up the interior. I especially like the fact that you’re leaving all the doors vanished as that’s leaving a very very classic look the heater you plan to install such a shame you’ve got to remove a useful cupboard but I suppose needs must must keep up the good work super content brilliant editing love the channel always have always will😊

Oxalic acid is very effective at removing many types of stains in wood, including black water stains and weathering. It is usually sold in crystals just mix with water. The black stains disappear. Worth a try. Love the episodes. Thanks.

Painting is definitely very important. That’s your home there and the ambiance is massively improved. I am so impressed that I may even pluck up the courage finally do the same on mine. I have always been tempted but the irreversibility of it has always psyched me out at the last minute. Glad you are finding time for romance together in whatever form you can get. Go well. ❤

The painting is like the make up, helps us be able to see her potential so much clearer. You've come a long ways, things are slowly coming together somewhat that makes a big difference and it's a huge motivator for yous both. Helps refuel your tanks a bit more to help on the next leg, so to speak.

I used to paint cars and motorcycles and the preparation was so hard and painstaking but when you get that finished coat on and you stand back and see how it looks it’s so satisfying, and then you you get to put it back together and lol you wonder where do all these pieces go 😅. Great job been praying for you I see the Bird making a big splash in the near future.

I don’t know how far behind I am on your videos however, using oxalic acid will remove water staining from the wood. I had some water stains in my boat and was able to remove them using this process.

I have always thought that there should be steps at the top of the mast so you can stand up and tie off to a ring (also installed there) so you can work on the equipment at the top without reaching awkwardly over your head.

All good stuff. Seeing an update of whats been done is always great.... don't have to see all the work in progress all the time. While it seems a shame to cover nice wood with paint, it does look good when it is finished and it covers joins and repairs in a way varnish can not. Good job as always.

Too late for the Galley parts, but you can remove stains from wood with Oxalic Acid. It's more of a 'bleach' that furniture restorers use' ... Nice paint job, there's never enough light below deck, dark wood doesn't help! I think it was mostly an attempt to make the Fiber Glass boats feel more like 'Traditional', more expensive, wooden boats...
