I really like the sun rays coming through the water and love that you keep the end result on the side so that one can always see what you're working towards.

On the topic of using purples and violets for shadows, I needed to darken a yellowish green for the painting I'm working on and I thought I remembered you talking about using those colors to darken certain other colors, so I tried mixing purple into my green instead of black and it worked.
That's Neat.. do you think when you are free, you could do a painting (butterfly or a flower maybe - something non aquatic) using only acrylic with paintbrush techniques only no airbrush or any nuances etc. Just beginner beautiful in simplicity. :) I am one of your Patrons and I started with one of the fish, it turned out good, but there were a few techniques I couldn't do because I lacked supplies so I improvised. I would really like something super simple to get comfortable with the medium. I do have Gesso and glazing medium, but I don't know what I need to seal an acrylic with or how to. I would be grateful if you have a tutorial for that. Thank you, I love your work! :)
I’ve found a supplier in the UK that sell a type of synthetic hog liner. I’m very tempted to get a couple and some gesso boards so I can try acrylic painting again. I gave up on it in favour of watercolour a couple of years ago, but I start an art course in September and I have this sneaking suspicion Acrylic is going to end up being a focus.

Does it have to be airbrush paint or can you use hair acrylic paint watered down? I saw a watercolor video and she used an airbrush that was filled with watercolor paint for glazing and bokah backgrounds
I've heard you talk about preferring the cheaper tracing paper a few times now, and I'm wondering if there's just a "better" selection of cheap tracing paper in your area. The only cheap tracing paper I've found here is thicker than Canson! Oh well, Canson works well enough for me, and it's always fairly inexpensive at Curry's :)
