I'm combining my love of lions with my love of the coral reef in this surreal acrylic painting! I've got tips on creating realistic looking lion teeth and fur and how to paint clownfish, tangs and tons of other marine fish and corals! You have really encouraged me in seeing, that there is no reason not to become a prolific painter, the only reason to not be, would be that one thinks they can't be. After watching some of your videos I realize that being prolific is very very important if you want to be a good artist, which helps me not think that I cant start a painting fearing it won't be good, which slows me down, and if I think it takes a llloooonnnngggg time to do a painting (1-2 mths) then I will never be prolific. You help me to realize that it is more normal to get paintings started, then done in no longer time then would any other painter who is prolific. Learning also that if I produce many paintings, if a few of them aren't that great, that is ok, because the majority will be, so why want to pick up the brush, courage!!!! and when I do pick up that brush get busy and don't stop!!!

I use the pallet that’s like a large Tupperware container with a lid and I put a glass cutting board inside of it for my oil paint. I love that it keeps my oils wet for so long. I also have a large piece of glass on my table and when I need or want a really large space to mix, I put my paint directly on the glass. It will not stay wet for as long though. I love this painting so much! Beautiful job!

Those corals really did look like flowers on the live stream. A lot of times I jump around when I'm painting just because I'm not confident about what I'm working on at the moment, but I'm pretty sure of something else that needs to be done in the piece.

Amazing work! You mention using water in your airbrush to keep the paint wet. Does it matter what kind of water? Should you use a distilled or just regular tap? I guess that could be a general question for acrylics.
