customer will be happy, but I understand, as many I have done, I felt was not up to my expectations that the customer was happy with. I wonder if it may have come out better if the initial tab was horizontal on the body line and you tapped the crowns as the body line came up? Slow pull though, not a slide hammer.
I did try the mini lifter as well, not shown in the video. The steel was just very different and really hard to work. It was a tough one haha. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I feel your pain😭 I'm still new to PDR & got my arsed kicked today trying to get the bodyline back up on multiple door dings on a VW Tiguan. The fact a man of your experience is having similar issues gives me hope. Great video, love your honesty & the way you explain your process 👍
Drill the door jam, under the handle. Great access for a 1/2" thick tool. Tap down the crown first. Easy money. Good luck with cutting the glue on the hood though.
Love the behind the scenes frustration. I’ve been there many times. It definitely shows our customers how tough this can be. Great video man! Are you going to the mobile tech expo in Orlando?
Thanks, yeah sometimes you just get those tough ones! I may be going to the expo but not sure yet, usually is a nice time there so I will try. Thanks again!
"It's not perfect." Nope it's 99.999 % perfect and nobody would ever see it. You have a great work ethic and high standards, a couple reasons why your videos are tops! And Sorry but you had me laughing when you was beating your head against the wall, we all been there! Was that aluminum or high strength steel, just thinking besides the pressure being trapped between those 2 crowns those other metals would have made it so much worse. Awesome job!!
You tried to correct a mistake, you didn't make the test! People do what they want, and then contact you to help solve their problems. So I appreciate you and effort.
I just found your channel and watched all your PDR videos. I'm trying to learn this hobby/profession. As a body repairman of many years I thought this would come easy. I have learned there is a very steep learning curve. To me your content helps a lot more than someone trying to sell me something. By the way, I have also tried the K Beam. Sometimes it takes several hands but it is a good tool. Remember it's lefty tighty. Thanks for your videos, new subscriber. Edit: Sorry for not saying the X5 looked very good to me.
Awesome, thanks for watching and commenting. Haha the funny thing is I though the same thing with the K beam, "Lefty tighty" I was like that's dumb, and yes a little clumsy to use. Should be good for some pretty big dents though, we'll see. Thanks again!
Wow wow wou. That was awesome! Your best video, man! I completely felt your feelings of bitterness :). Very hard job and huge dent. I really appreciate your video concept you used. Very sincere and very inspiring video about the hard PDR life :). You are my new PDR guy number one!
Ha, Thanks! Working on getting a mic and gimbal for my camera for better quality footage too. I am not that good at this video and editing stuff but I will do my best. Thanks again!
Firstly you have gone about it the wrong way, where is the heating of the paint before the first glue pull? Then went to far befor first knock down and should have started using bars earlyer. You left to much damaged material behind you before moving on. And where is your light? The top of the penal moved nice on the first revers hammer glue pull then you should have cleaned that part of the panel. And your using a metal tip.
