Been trying to figure out how to reconnect my devices for a while now, didn't realize I had to reset it and no ways I would have been able to figure out where the reset button was if not for this video so thanks.
Please note you may want to educate your support to let everyone know that your "Orbit 24639 B-hyve XD 4-Port Smart Hose Watering Timer with Wi-Fi Hub " requires that you pair the devices via an iphone as it will not pair via an android. I tried endlessly for weeks and even spoke to support not realizing that I was wasting my time. Finally found a review that stated I should simply use an Iphone and guess what it worked right away. DUDE!!! So to help your customers I made a wonderful video explaining that fact and giving credit to the person who I saw posted a review explaining that I need to use an iphone. GOOD GRIEF DUDES Get your act together and this will be posted on my youtube channel as well.
Iphone? I'm on an iphone and the software can't even locate my network and the screen freezes "locating your networks." i've rebooted the wifi and also the hub. This contraption is beginning to look like junk. I'm going to return it to Amazon. I go out of the country and need something reliable or could come home to a flood if it won't shut off, or worse that it won't turn on. In Arizona all our plants would die.
@@moniquemonicat cant disagree with you on the return it was very problematic until it finally worked. I was half way to take it back to both home depot and lowes. I think I swapped the wifi hub on one of my visits.
Try updating your firmware. I successfully paired my Hub to the 2.4 GHz WiFi in my home on October 22, 2022, using my Samsung Galaxy 8 android phone. However, I have been unable to connect my Hub to a hose faucet timer in my front garden, even though the Hub is considerably closer to the front garden timer than the back garden timer, to which it is successfully connected. Go figure!
I found a workaround and now have it working, came so close to returning it. You need to turn off the Wi-Fi on your phone and enable Bluetooth on the Hyve app. Try to pair through the app's Bluetooth where it will fail to connect. Once it fails then go back to the adding devices menu and it will see the Mac address, turn on your WI-FI and connect back to the 2.4 network and it will pair. It's average that it's so clunky to pair on Android
After it's paired, what does the button on the hub do when you press it? (And contrary to the other comments on here, I got the pairing done very easily on my Android phone, and never had any connectivity problems.)
How do I reset the tap timer and HUB? I need to set up connections again. It used to pair properly but can't pair anymore. To pair with the HUB it says " cannot find device and ensure HUB is powered on" but it is on! Also to pair with the timer, the error says "This device may be associated with another account.". I believe it should be reset.
I purchased the 4-connection b-hyve...the first came without the WiFi Hub. The second time it came with the WiFi Hub, but the Hub will not connect to my 2.4GHz WiFi no matter what I did. I'm not a novice at networks. I am a professional of 25 years in the network and automation industry. I tried changing the SSID, the length of the WiFi Password, the encryption type, the type of WiFi Access Point...it would still never connect. I came back to try it one more time after several resets and it finally connected to the WiFi. I'm not sure how long it will stay connected...
I deeply regret buying Orbit irrigation controllers for my home. They disconnect themselves from the wifi regularly: one of them will not reconnect. Ever. AVOID ORBIT. Their customer support is non-existent. And when you click “Troubleshooting” on the app, the window closes, nothing else happens. Zero. Nada.
Mine regularly disconnects, I’m over it. I couldn’t have a better quality wifi network if I tried. If this drops out, the entire system drops out. Range is average at best
B-HYVE = ABSOLUTE JUNK, even if you get it to work it's not reliable, if you go out of the country will be in big trouble when it malfunctions! Not "if," but WHEN. I'm on an iphone and all went well with pairing until it said "LOADING NETWORK INFO and just stuck there. I've rebooted my modem and also my iphone and redid the entire process. This is my 3rd time and still when it gets to "loading network info" it just stays there, stuck now 10 min. It won't even let me "cancel." I'm going to return this and get a timer that's reliable. Something wrong with the software and cannot chance this timer to screw up when I'm out of the country. Could keep watering and never shut off! If the software can't even find my networks, no telling what malfunction it could do later on.
Wish I read the comments here first, will be returning them to Bunnings as I've had no luck working out how to connect the timers to the hub, completely useless junk.
Whats the point of this HUB when the bluetooth on the timer cant even be connected when I far away from the house like guest house in the front of the main house. Do not buy this. Its crap.
@@Adasdream they change several things in the api since I originally posted this fix. One was a paid app which was a shame but I would certainly advise you to touch base with their support as they can clear the background services.
