Islamabad, Pakistan ➖After previously staying at a rather luxurious complex in the mountains of Islamabad, I decided to see what Islamabads cheapest hotel has to offer. Upon arrival, I knew I was in for an interesting ride. Lots of staff, yet nothing seems to actually be done and it wasn't until 5 minutes of standing and waiting that I was attended to.
After a standard check-in procedure, I was bought to my room which at first glance, wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen. But after a little investigating I started to see deeper into the issues with this room. I joined a local cricket game and ordered dinner from the hotel, which turned out to be good! I then tried to get a bit of sleep, which looking back, was very ambitious of me as the noise of other guests was incomparable to anything I've heard before.
It reached 12:30am and with not a single second of sleep, I called it quits and stayed at my friend's place.

Luke! One LIFE TIME Advice for you: Keep several photocopies of your passport with you, where ever you travel, live, stay or visit. Never, Never, Never hand over your original passport to anyone like this. Best of luck with the tour.

Luke. One piece of advice from experience. Do not hand over your passport to anyone. Go to a place where there is a Xerox machine. Print a few photo copies of every page of your Passport and give it to the people concerned. Show them your passport and give them the photo copies of every page of your details that is needed. If you leave your passport it could be misused or given back to you on making some sort of payment. Please take care and be safe. ❤️🇦🇺

@@sumairdanish6114 Every person entering any country has to show their passport for verification to the official who stamps the passport. However in hotels show your original passport and give them countersigned photo copies of every page in their passport for them to keep for their record. There is no need for them to keep the passport. Passport should be kept by the individual by himself. Some people not all countries and not necessarily Pakistan keep the passport and misuse it or only give it back after some payment which is illegal. This is from experience. Better safe than sorry which will not be detrimental to the individual.

Ok, with Careem: always call the Careem customer service whenever a driver asks you to cancel. Never cancel from your own account. If drivers ask you to cancel, tell them to cancel themselves. If they don’t, call the Careem customer support and ask them to allocate a new driver cause the current one is asking you to cancel. You don’t have to pay the cancellation fee yourself then and shouldn’t have to cause you’re not at fault.

Just a little advice: if a Careem driver cancels on you or doesn’t move after accepting the ride, just go to help tab in Careem, and select the ride you want help with and explain that it wasn’t your fault that the ride was cancelled. Your 100 PKR fine will be cancelled immediately :) (hope it helps in your future trips haha)

Do not volunteer your passport. If there is a passport requirement, they will ask you. And if they do ask you, provide them with a photocopy. Never hand over official documentation.

I am Pakistani, Word of advise always give a photocopy of passport after showing your originals. Don't submit your passport to any resort whether expensive or cheap . also don't give any staff to get your passport photocopied

You should report careem every time via app whenever they deduct cancelation fees from you. There is a built in report option. They will refund you

When you check in Budget Hotels.. The small hotels in Sub-continent first usually show you various rooms available to choose from.. That guy asked you to see the rooms first.. but due to communication barrier you did not understand...... Next time when u enter a Budget Hotel first see all available rooms and then choose one of the best u liked... Thanks brother...

Not at all Mr. Ahmed, its Islamabad and hotels and guest houses are charged for taxes other wise FBR fines them heavy. 10 AUD is 1 thousand PKR, ofcourse you will get such accommodation for 10 AUD in expensive Islamabad. I mean what you expect in 10 AUD ???? 🤣🤣🤣

Please accompany with any local guide. There are a lot. 1:- you don't have to pay for the cancellation of ride. 2:- don't ever handover your passport to anyone even for photocopy. Always put two parallel line on the photocopy and write the purpose between the lines so they will not be able to missuse it. E.g this copy used only for the purpose of hotel booking 3:- there is no such thing called tax, and don't cancel the booking. If anybody will ask you about tax demand a tax document (they are bound to show it to you). Can you imagine a hotel like this would be paying tax?

He should research a bit and look at photos and reviews of people before booking hotels. There are photos already available y does he selects so low quality places? He should find some local, like the ones he plays cricket with, offer him 100 rupees and ask him to help him find better places to stay and eat

Lol the electric shock from tv, fan that feels like can fall any minute & fly coming out, broken floor at the corner, no door handle for bathroom & main door hardly locking, no window. All signs point to a psychopath hotel owner coming to get you and you can’t hide or escape. His first boobytrap (tv electric shock) failed though. Be careful! 😂

Oh god, that place is an absolute nightmare. I bet waking up at night to a person speaking in a foreign language, coupled with the bed and entire vibe of the hotel must've felt so surreal. Happened to me once, in Turkey, felt as if I was in a dream.

As a piece of advice Luke don’t ever let your original passport book out of your sight especially in south Asian countries, always make few copies and carry them in case of need for hotels and other requirements, you can just whip out your original in case of verification. you can save yourself from a lot of unnecessary headaches. Plus always eat out if you ever stay in shitty hotels like above. You will always find restaurants around outside of these hotels.

@@shaziakhan7197 sister it's ok ..even in India or other countries too they go for verification. .but if he was a Pakistani he would have given ur identity card ...national identification card here it is called AADHAR card ..also he was looking at the passport. .in password it is written on the book gov of something something. And colour of password vary with countries some have orange ..blue.green etc ...

India does not have dual citizenship agreements but Pakistan has that with many countries and many overseas Pakistanis use their foreign passport to get preferential treatment in Pakistan so its normal for him to think Luke might be a local and Luke even has black hair so he does look like any local Pakistani guy.

@@k2x658 bhaijaan u r right single citizenship ..in Pakistan also single citizenship brother india has the law of overseas citizenship from 2003 don't know about Pakistan overseas citizenship law ...in that max countries of world ..Australia. .nz. .America ..Greece etc ..can have overseas citizenship. ...but brother don't know whether canone can have 2 passport? ?I think can easily visit that place without required of VISA etc or u get VISA easily. ..haven't heard from anyone two passports. .
