The world powers are engaging in a bit of a race to get the most advanced submarine warfare Pakistan has acquired the first of the eight newly built Chinese submarines. While Islamabad's addition of the stealth submarine has raised concerns about Beijing's influence in the South China Sea and also the larger Indian Ocean region.

There is no such thing as a "stealth" submarine anymore. The major powers can locate and destroy enemy subs using a variety of detection methodologies. The deepest operational depths on average are only around 800ft. Subs that operate well below this are specialized and generally do not carry large weapons packages

Not true. A few years ago during wargames in the Baltic Sea, a Swedish submarine penetrated the American fleet and scored a torpedo hit on a Nimitz carrier.
