Akbar Cafe- A family that originally comes from Bihar province of India, this now third generation shop is serving up some rarely seen food. The paye and kachori combination. Something I thought was going to be too heavy and oily, but this family does a great job of making sure the Paye is full of flavor and not weighed down by the fat and oil added. If you ever needed a reason to go all the way out to Orangi town, this is it.

Bhashani- A Bengali sweet shop, I would say before leaving Orangi town to make sure to stop by here and try the Dhaka cham cham. A sweet milk dessert with a twist and something you can't really find unless you come all the way to Orangi town.

Quetta Jamal Durrani Hotel- These guys are just like family. I love their Quetta chai, but mainly I love their personality and openness to making me feel like family. It's also the origin of the first and only "Shining Wala".

Waheed Kabab House Burns Road- One of the most well known spots in Karachi. While they do many things here, the Kebab fry is something I cannot miss when I come to Karachi. A late night craving that is always fixed by Waheed.
