Love the video as an Ecuadorian Thank you for your appreciation and love for the Latin American culture I extend to you to visit my country Ecuador although I live in NY my heart is Ecuadorian. I visited the UK in 1984 stayed in Northwich Cheshire with my English friends I found kindness and respect from the British people. Best regards and cheers mate
Nice to see this place highlighted. I got to know the guys a bit just before they opened, so generous, open hearted and talented. They're definitely the fine dining-ish end of what the Latin community has to offer in Elephant and well worth the trip. Go back in Spring, but especially in Summer - their home made ice-creams and sorbets in unexpected flavours are mind blowingly delicious. For some more down home style, you should also check out some of the places under the arches behind where the shopping centre used to be, some in Elephant park, as well as the other archways behind the newer tower blocks (both off Walworth Road). On Walworth rd itself theres a Colombian Bakery called Delipan - Lots to try, but the Colombian Breakfast bangs, Definitely get it with the chorizo (different to the Spanish style) and the aji - that really makes it (the spicy sauce). The Sanchez Panaderia up past Camberwell Green is also definitely worth a visit. I expect to see some more places pop up over time as some of the businesses that were displaced find new locations.
Chili, chili, chili. Not all Latin American food contains chili. In fact, millions of Latin americans don'tlike chili. Like me 🤣 it's a shame having to endure this cliche. Anyway its nice to see something from the region valued.
