Lord Jesus, I pray for these dear people, justice, peace and mercy very soon. How long must they weep? How long must Garth sing out violence Lord, like a modern day Habakkuk? You are the deliverer We believe you hear the cries of the oppressed, please bring forth deliverance at this time and no annexation. We read Isaiah 5 “woe to those who add house to house until there is no more room in the land”........and utter the same prayer with those oppressed and beleagured and frightened people.

There's something to love about every land on earth, but the remarkable music people around the world have made for Palestine has given me a love for it greater than any other land I have never personally been. It might be a predominantly muslim population these days, but it is where christianity began and its people still examplify the virtue Christ demonstrated in his life of perseverance in the pursuit of justice and right relations between people even in the face of overwhelming violence. I only regret the cost in human life that violence has brought. I am sympathetic to those who have been driven to violence in return but I am awed by the astounding patience of those who have not.
