A crash course on history of the PALESTINIAN STATE: 1. Before Israel, there was a British mandate, not a Palestinian state 2. Before the British Mandate, there was the Ottoman Empire, not a Palestinian state. 3. Before the Ottoman Empire, there was the Islamic state of the Mamluks of Egypt, not a Palestinian state. 4. Before the Islamic state of the Mamluks of Egypt, there was the Ayubid Arab-Kurdish Empire, not a Palestinian state. 5. Before the Ayubid Empire, there was the Frankish and Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem, not a Palestinian state. 6. Before the Kingdom of Jerusalem, there was the Umayyad and Fatimid empires, not a Palestinian state. 7. Before the Umayyad and Fatimid empires, there was the Byzantine empire, not a Palestinian state. 8. Before the Byzantine Empire, there were the Sassanids, not a Palestinian state. 9. Before the Sassanid Empire, there was the Byzantine Empire, not a Palestinian state. 10. Before the Byzantine Empire, there was the Roman Empire, not a Palestinian state. 11. Before the Roman Empire, there was the Hasmonean state, not a Palestinian state. 12. Before the Hasmonean state, there was the Seleucid, not a Palestinian state. 13. Before the Seleucid empire, there was the empire of Alexander the Great, not a Palestinian state. 14. Before the empire of Alexander the Great, there was the Persian empire, not a Palestinian state. 15. Before the Persian Empire, there was the Babylonian Empire, not a Palestinian state. 16. Before the Babylonian Empire, there were the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah, not a Palestinian state. 17. Before the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah, there was the Kingdom of Israel, not a Palestinian state. 18. Before the kingdom of Israel, there was the theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel, not a Palestinian state. 19. Before the theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel, there was an agglomeration of independent Canaanite city-kingdoms, not a Palestinian state. 20. Actually, in this piece of land there has been everything, EXCEPT A PALESTINIAN STATE. A little more history for those wanting to 'restore Palestine'. In 132 AD the Emperor Hadrian resolved to stamp the Jews and their religion out of existence. He sold all Jewish prisoners into slavery after the revolt of Bar Kikhba, forbade the teaching of the Torah, renamed the province Syria Palaestina, and changed Jerusalem’s name to Aelia Capitolina. He renamed Israel to wipe out the national identity of Israel and the Jews. So if you are looking to 'restore Palestine to the Palestinians', you need to give it back to the Jews.

However, no one can answer a question about an Israeli historical figure, because Israel didn’t exist before 1948. They all part of jewish population, the same is applicable to Palestine, palestine was part of the ottoman empire, like California before it became part of the united states it was not called american, now you want a name, I can give you a name , how about: Yussef Diya'udin Din Al-Khalidi, you do the research … you see you don’t know him as well, those poor people in the interview are not historians, you want an answer, go read. American students are poorly educated in our public schools so I definitely can see an American being unable to do so. Even so, I'd hope they'd spit out Abraham Lincoln or George Washington. But who knows these days since the American left is indoctrinating young people to hate these people. I'm sure it is nuanced but you have Alfred the Great who was technically the Anglo-Saxon King of Wessex but his contribution to what became England is significant. Roman emperors were not technically Italian... they were leaders of the Roman empire. Hadrian was born in Spain of Roman parents which was part of the empire and Spain's history includes significant contributions by outside leaders. Spain itself contributed significantly as well. This video shows these people do not want to even bother to learn the history of the region as it unquestionably involves Jewish residents for thousands of years. Heck, they can't even give credit to Saladin for reclaiming Jerusalem from the crusaders because he was a Kurd. The residents of the region were simply a collection of Arabs with no national identity prior to Arafat choosing to make terrorism and intolerance the default identity. They are doomed and shame on the world for not recognizing their intolerance. I am getting tired destroying people who bring up "two state solution" as a realistic option. Palestinians want no such thing, Jews accepted this in 1947.

The origin of Palestine is judeä. After the Jews lost a war against the Roman they renamed the country from judeä to Palestine in order to humiliate and disconnect the Jews from their native country. So, if the question would have been name a famous ancient Arab I’m sure they would have been able to name one (I sincerely hope-Saladin or king Faisal I. maybe?). Therefore your question would have been name a famous jew, and I assume most Israeli would name king David.

@@zyloxzylox3374Here's the thing though. You people are going to have to realize and accept that whether or not you think there was any such people as Palestinian people before 1948 they the Palestinians consider themselves Palestinian people NOW. They are a distinct people NOW. You might say the creation of the modern state of Israel created the Palestinian people and the Palestinian nation. You might even want to say they are a new nation. There are many new nations. For instance there was no such nation as Nigeria before 1960. But they are a nation now. There was no such nation as Saudi Arabia before 1932. But it's a nation now. So the Palestinians are a people NOW. Whether you like it or whether you acknowledge it or not. So stop trying to obliterate the Palestinian people and stop trying to deny their existence. They are NOT going away.
@zyloxzylox3374
@zyloxzylox3374 8 месяцев назад
It’s actually the Palestinian who don’t acknowledge that Israel exist. That’s why they keep attacking Israel. You are absolutely right. India was divided for Hindu and Muslim. So we have Pakistan. Million of refugee went from one side to the other. No Pakistan or Hindu refugee exist today. (Side Note to Pakistan:, still waiting for the millions demonstrating against Pakistan expelling hundred thousand of afghans right now! Strange no Muslim seems to care when Muslims kill Muslims) So also the mandate of Palestine was divided into a part for Arab and Jews. The largest part is known as Jordanian the smaller one should have become Israel. But the Arab population in Israel committed massacres so the British offered them another part, to calm them down, but they refused. They refused since then all offers from Israel and instead attacked Israel and launched waves of suicide terror attacks and rockets. So the problem is not that Israel (by the way I am not „they“) is not recognizing the Palestinian (funny interview exist by the way in which golda Meir explains why she is Palestinian), but that the Arab don’t acknowledge Israel’s existence. It says in the Charta of the plo and Hamas to kill Jews! That’s why they keep killing Jews all over the world. Zero Jews in Muslim countries (same will soon happen with Christians) but 20% of Israel are Arabs living with same passport as Israeli. As long as the Muslim countries consider tiny one Jewish state among 50+ Muslim countries as the devil, how can there be peace? If Israel wanted to erase the Palestinian why is their population growing? Even in Gaza?

Yes, but aren't there cultural figures? Do you even know the history of this region before 1948? In 1914 it was controlled by the Ottoman empire, who allied with the Central Powers. They lost the war. The Palestinians, as a part of that empire, lost he war. Since when to the losers get to dictate the terms of their war loss? But under Ottoman rule, the people who live here had plenty of rights, but none of them considered themselves "Palestinians". That is why there are not even CULTURAL figures they can name. Germany didn't really exist until the late 1900s. Yet Germans can certainly name famous German people from any century (Johann Wolfgang Goethe). You cannot blame Jews for there simply being no such thing as Palestinian history before 1948.

Palestine did not exist as a political rule or a state, but the people have existed for thousands of years, descendants of the Canaanites, and have a culture and heritage. This is an excellent question with a hidden significant message. The oldest known Palestinian was the writer-author Khalil al-Sakakini, 1878. Palestine was controlled by various empires, such as the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, the Islamic Caliphate, and the Ottoman Empire, and eventually, in 1920, the British, under a League of Nations Mandate until 15 May 1948.

Got ya, thanks for the question I will use it as a zionist argument next time) Now how to really look at it: While many of the Palestinian don’t know the deference between how jews perceived Judaism as an ethnicity rather than a religion, so it’s very easy to answer a question of finding a name of a historical famous jewish character, i can list 100 if you want. I’m sure you will find israilies Who don’t know that Albert Intestine was jewish . It is important for me to point out that Israeli Arabs are an integral part of society and are citizens with equal rights like everyone else, some of them are my friends, but the situation with the Palestine people it’s different. I would expect the people to open their eyes and stand on their feet and resist against a government that oppresses them and educates them from age 0 about hatred and murder. The Palestinian problem is Hamas and organizations with money that use the Palestinians as tools in their theater. You asked what I expect from them? If the large amount of money that Palestine receives went for education, the maintenance of the city's infrastructure, and other useful things... maybe in another 50 years we would see something. @user-ig9hp4zu7f There, you just prove my point about the ignorance. There is no connection between the Philistine Goliath and the Arab Palestinian people today. I'm sorry to shatter the illusion you've been living in until today. And I will explain to you and of course you are welcome to check everything I say. The Philistine people in the Old Testament are associated with seafarers who came from the Greek islands. The name Philistines comes from the Hebrew language From the word “polesh" = פולש and the meaning of that word is invaders i mean, their name already explains their being invaders. We will run years ahead and the Roman Empire is in the territories of Israel. The Roman Empire, which fought the Jews a lot, knows that the greatest enemies of the Jews is the Philistine people... so it expels the Jews of the Land of Israel and decides to call this whole area Palestine! At a time when there was not a single Muslim in the world and the Arabic language did not exist. This is a period that precedes Islam by about 1500 years. And we will once again run hundreds of years forward...to a time when Islam exists and Muslim/Arab peoples are in the territories that surround the territory called Palestine...and some of the people who come from the territories that are today called "Egypt" "Lebanon" "Syria" "Jordan" enter a territory called "Palestine" by the way .. Most Palestinian surnames already indicate that they came from the countries I mentioned earlier In addition, to remind you that the Palestinian people decided to unite and call themselves the Palestinian people only in 1948 when Israel was founded. Everything I wrote here is history, factual. I am not coming to say that there is no such Palestinian people today. Today it certainly exists, and I truly wish them all the best in the world. for everyone. But learn the history before you write things and spread misinformation

Interestingly, the Jews were not the only people to self-declare statehood in the old Ottoman Syria following its defeat in the First World War. A year before Israel was formed, the 'Arab Kingdom of Syria' was self-declared by Arabs who had participated in the revolt against the Ottomans under the encouragement of 'Lawrence of Arabia' (among others). This kingdom was short-lived but was succeeded by a smaller Arab state, Transjordan (now the Kingdom of Jordan). Jordan occupied the West Bank from 1950 to 1967. Another interesting fact is that many of those in the West Bank have had their citizenship of Jordan revoked and are stateless as a result of that rather than Israeli unwillingness to support statehood for Palestinians. The history of the ex-Ottoman realms in the Middle East is incredibly complicated ; hardly anyone fully understands it (I sure don't!) and the vast majority of messages on social media are selective and full of spin from one group or another. It brings to mind the European 'Schleswig-Holstein Question' of which Palmerston said "Only three people have ever really understood the Schleswig-Holstein business. The Prince Consort, who is dead; a German professor, who has gone mad; and I, who have forgotten all about it.”

It's almost as if the education they do get is to just say you don't know, or forgot. What an amazing question, bravo!

They didn’t claim someone elses land on the basis that their 500th grand father was here, you search for thing that would support your argument, if I’m not on the field of historical studies, why would I need to know this, ask me about accounting.. I know to answer better than you. I don’t need to prove my roots to the land because the most nonsense thing is to claim someones homeland because we were there 3000 years ago.
