We have some Bad Players in our local Pallet community. We have a person who takes everything and gives others no chance at even a couple of pallets. They pull up at bunnings and take everything. The other bad player takes lease pallets. Has a small crane on his trailer. Now the shops are locking everything up and/or binning throw away pallets to keep people away.

We have people here, they're the trash companies who drop off the dumpsters, well they give away the dumpsters filled with pallets! I just got an entire dumpster full dropped at my house today! Delivered for free! And there's 4x4s! The pallets are made out of 4x4 pieces of wood! There huge and awesome! I look forward to building with them!

Evening Dainsey, just thought I'd sling ya a message. I've been watching your channel for a while and loving it! I have moved from the ville a couple of years ago but I used to get pallets and crates from the mower shops (across from RAAF base and just up from Kawasaki on Ingham road), Kawasaki and a couple of 4 meter pallets from the owner of National tiles on Bayswater rd. The crates from Kawasaki are about 3m long, are a mixture of 2x4 and 4x4 and mostly really clean stock. Hope this helps maintain supply for ya.

Geesh, and I thought lumber prices here in the states was high. That non structural pine, looks like roughly a 2x4 or 2x3 (sorry my obsolete measuring system of inches can't convert on the fly to the measuring system the entire world uses, that makes sense!!! I'm trying to, it just won't convert no matter how much i want it to. 😩) And a structural pine or douglas fir 2x4 stud is roughly half the price of that non structural one. (Just did a conversion rate comparison of usd to aud, apparently 7AUD comes out to 4.56USD So 0.50-1 more, not as bad, but still high, especially if not structural. (What makes a board not structural there? I don't think I've ever seen a board labeled not structural in the states. As far as I know, anything can be or not be structural, depending on how it's used.) All that being said, I am definitely also a tight ass on buying things

I appreciate the videos that you produce for all of us here on RU-vid. I love the fact that your videos are not all about the next latest and greatest tools that have been provided for you to sell to us, you actually do projects and provide useful tips as well as provide content that makes us think. That also goes for a lot of your down under colleagues as well as the ones across the pond, we don’t seem to get much of that here in the US, most of the channels here don’t even use their tools and just try to sell you on going into debt to buy the next best tool.

And another thing.... I'm guilty of using construction grade lumber to extend my supply of reclaimed lumber. I'll use the store bought stuff for the bones of it, and using the rugged stuff that people who buy my Rustic Creations. It greatly hastens the building process. My customer base is indeed the lower 90% of nice people who cannot see past the surface of is being produced for them. It also enables me to provide higher quality for. Where I live in the mid-east-coast of USA, I can source rough cut lumber that has been kiln dried. While this does increase product cost in one aspect, it also makes it easier to produce a product that is truly Rustic inside, as well as outside. I'm gonna go back and leave some new comments on your other videos so we can drive the crap outta that algorithm.😎🤠🤓

Regrets, I've had a few, but then again too few to mention! Cool build Dainsey! I really dig the finished product, very stylish. Arches can be a s.o.b. I have built several during my contracting career. Looking forward to what you bring to the table in the future mate!

Dainsey. What's the Acacia FJ lam panel for? It popped up in a few scenes. I was eyeing them today in bunnings. I've used a few in the past. They're cheap and nice for small projects.

That was off a previous build, an older piece in my wife’s shop. Great stuff for a super quick bench top

Hi, I love your videos and they've inspired me to start a wood working business of my own. I've found some free reclaimed jarrah and have been making some hallway table but am finding it hard to target the lucrative middle age mum market, so I cant sell any of my furniture for more than $150. What design features would you recommend to help target this demographic?

I found it is more about aestics than features. Like white washing, always give that beach fresh feel to many homes

Hey bud, what dovetail clamps were you using? I looked into the Microjig ones and grew a quick ulcer from the price tag. Cheers!
