Tour of my garden near the end of the growing season in late September. One new addition since my mid July update is a Chamaerops Vulcano in a terracotta pot placed next to my Vulcano in the ground. They can keep each other company! 😎🌴

Thanks for your appreciation. You and I can compare our large Jubaeas for growth Lincoln v London. Only joking. It’s not a race!😅🌴

Some great palms here TruSoulman. All of them are first class. My personal highlights 1. The silver butia capitata is a beauty. I also have one of these. One of the fastest growing palms in my NE Uk garden and really quick to establish. 2. Your chaemarops cerifera is a beauty. Lovely size and form to it. 3. Your vulcano is classy. A real large specimen. 4. Love your washy. With that fat trunk and the potential to hybridise I wonder whether it has some filifera in it. A beauty whatever it is. 5. The jubaea is a classy addition. Quite a statement to it. 6. The cycas revoluta in the back of the garden has such a cool trunk on it. 7. Your brahea armata is a stunning silver colour. I can completely understand your overwintering plans to keep it as silver as possible. Great tour. Very enjoyable for this palm fanatic. 👍

Thanks so much for your detailed comments, Vincenze! Yes, my Mexican Blues in the front and in the back garden need protection from excess rain or they will suffer from root rot. I wish my Washy was hardier because all its leaves go brown during winter if I only protect the spear and 1-2 leaves with a fleece bag. So I have to cover it for winter to have a few green ones remains in spring.

Thanks for the update TruSoulman. Lots of new leaves grown. There's a few that need to buck up their ideas for next summer though like the Cycas Revoluta. The banana grove looks like it'll take over your property if you don't cut it back!

Thanks for your comment. I agree with you. Those banana leaves will all be cut off for winter and the trunks will be wrapped up until April when hard frosts will be over. 😎🌴

Does that single trunk chamaerops humilis 5:20 have a specific name? I had no idea single trunk varieties existed.

Yes, they are very rare. I have find experts referring to them and their rarity but I cannot find any specific name for them. Thanks for watching the vid!
