. . . he has covered the Filets in cheep standard flavoring and flour and then he browned them in a pan with butter and olive oil while he exuded a lot of babbling. . . so where is the point ?
Just made this fish awesome! This is the fish that the apostles fished for ! This is the first time I ever had it I was afraid to try it but yours looked so good thank you!❤️🇺🇲👍
Thank you for this recipe!!! My 78 year old father's taste buds arent what they used to be, but this got great reviews!!! I added Old Bay for a little tiny kick that wouldnt hurt dad's stomach. Was amazing!!! By the way, thanks for the tip on patting the fish dry first.
I just made this recipe. I haven’t made fish in more than a year and needed a refresher. It came out awesome. Thank you for the easy to follow instructions. Cheers.
Thanks for this recipe and video! I’ve literally made this twice and it was delicious both times. It is super quick to make too which is a huge plus for a lazy cook like me 😂
Thank You Coit❤. Not many or none at all are great when the instructor is blabbing to much - you did not and are not. You kept it simple to the point and had everything there for the viewer audience👍 Dying to do mine later today, with a potato tasting side after a few Estrella Jaliscos (Mexican brew). Have a cool weekend and "Liked"
I loved your recipe it was awesome, thank you so much. The only thing I would change is to next time season your flour it will give it alot more flavor. But overall good.
Yes, this is a great idea! I seasoned mine with some paprika and a bit of a crushed chicken bouillon cube and it added so much (no salt in the flour 🧂 because I was scared of it being too salty) :) the recipe from this video is delicious!!
Another winner Mr. Coit! Looks delicious and I'm going to try it. Do you think Cod would do just as well? I don't do Tilapia ever since I read what some farms feed them. UGH!
good recipe! I heavily season with Paul Prudhomme blackened seasoning then flour dredge and melt a little extra fresh butter at end for a drizzle yum yum
I broil these in a toaster oven, on both sides, with olive oil as a non stick agent. I am not sure if I am making these correctly. However, they are coming out better than when I used to just throw in frozen whiting fillet(Stopped eating because of the bone) in there, haha. Yes, I cheat and put Old bay as seasoning on one side of each fillet.
Are you using olive oil? Remember he says in the video that the olive oil is used to prevent butter from burning. I use olive oil only. No butter. I also dip fillet in (scrambled) egg before frying.
I just did this recipe and it is easy and very tasty :) One small modification on my end: I hate the fishy smell, so I soaked the fish filets in 2% milk for 1hour in the fridge. Then followed the recipe exactly - dry the fish, spice it etc... Thank you so much for sharing and showing the process
Hi Justin this looks Amazing!! Can you share with me what kind of portable stove top that is you are using? I am searching for the perfect fit and i really like yours. Simplicity & Efficiency
You should try it with Lemon Peper Seasoning, Badia All purpose seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt. Before seasoning coating the fish with lemon juice.
So, I have a subtle Idea switch: After seasoning the tilapia, coat it in avocado oil and then pan fry it as normal but at less flame. Halfway through, lightly coat the three filets in one egg and butter, THEN dredge it in flour, then continue the pan fry! The point is, that your tilapia fry doesn't combat the outer flour fry. Curious as to what you think of this. Does it make sense?
It's kind of cool that I thought I was cooking fish wrong and this is exactly what I do. I just like em a little Krispy to counter any fishy taste there might be
