@@PanamaRelocationTours I was born and raised in panama city. I haven't been home in over 15 years. I will be a tourist in my native country. I have two foreign cars, great union job and my rent is $2400 for a two bedroom. I want to go back to Panama and purchase a home but the red tape is keeping me at bay. One thing I know for sure I have to find a home away from the city simply because I need tranquility after living in NYC for so many years. I recently tried purchasing a apt at the Galvez the building I grew up in. Its now a condo under construction and I got the run around.Thats Panama for you. 😢🇵🇦

@@1onsight852 OMG, you're in NYC?? lawlz!! That means that when you come back to Panama you will live like a king!! ...even if you spend 1/2 of what you currently spend in NYC. Welcome to Panama!! BTWm to ease with the red tape, one thing that many have done to expedite the process is to find a trusted person to administer the property you currently have in NYC and set it up as an AirBNB. It's truly not worth it to ship your two cars. You're better off selling them and buying two brand spakin' new ones in Panama. As you await to sell them, the same administrator you left your property with can also administer the temporary rental of your vehicles via a service called Turo (look into it) (in case you are still making payments on them) and that way you won't even need to worry about cash-flow issues. And Turo even provides insurance for damage or loss. And no, I don;t work for AirBNB nor Turo. lol I will already say: Welcome to Panama.

Every time I watch a video or go on the YT live with Jackie, I get closer and closer to deciding that Panama is my number one choice to move to. Hoping you'll do more specific vids like this one, especially on what is required in terms of paperwork to be able to move there. Mariana, can you please do a video on the TRUTH about how Black people are treated in Boquette? I have seen others who live in Panama that say the Expats are not very kind to people of color there and that they are changing the environment rather than adjusting to the people there. Thanks!
@PanamaRelocationTours
@PanamaRelocationTours 3 года назад
Watch this video of a woman of color who lives in Boquete -- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AnQNnPCjq6g.html And see the other videos of black people who live in Boquete.. There is absolutely no discrimination. If the person is nice, it does not matter what color you are, you will be treated well. If the person is NOT so nice, regardless of what color you are, you will not be treated well. So perhaps the person who said that she was not treated well was NOT a nice person. Most Panamanians have dark skin.
@adori4t9094
@adori4t9094 3 года назад
Mariana, very good response! I have seen one or two videos on RU-vid of people that bring up this issue of discrimination. I just want to say to those that are bringing up this issue, please, please, Panamanian citizens are all mixed and we don't see in color. With this negative mentality, they are going to ruin the country. A country where we all live in peace and without the racial discrimination. My advice is that when you come to Panama, you need to integrate into the Panamanian culture and its people, equally, your own country man whether they are white or black. otherwise you would be the person with racial problems. Panama DO NOT need that mentally.
@fanfare100
@fanfare100 3 года назад
@@adori4t9094 Both of your responses are good, but I must say that the Original Poster: @LVNCSR was worried, not of the local Panamanian population having prejudices against People of Colour, but rather, that it might be a vestigial legacy of some of the White Americans immigrating there? The question, IMHO, still remains, has that ever been an issue in Panama, especially as many seem to gravitate towards "gated communities" and live in their own cultural enclaves. I think this is a valid question that should be spoken to whether it is a valid concern or not. But it is through dialogue that we are able to clear up such matters, because, let's face it: The way certain events have presented themselves in the U.S. of A., especially in the past 3 years, are enough to resurface old wounds and ignite generations of PTSD amongst those to whom segregation and discrimination became a systemic nightmare. And I would not blame an African American from wanting to ensure that with their exodus to Panama that they weren't simply going to jump from the frying pan and into the fire. Can you offer any assurances, not of the Panamanian community (we already know that Panamanians are very accepting racially and ethnically), but of the wave of American's moving into Panama? And probably not so much he ones who immediately integrate and live and eat where the native Panamanians hang out, but the Americans that tend glom together in affinity groups. Is there any reason for concern there? What have people's experiences been, especially the validated experiences of people of colour? I re-ask that as a Panamanian of mixed race in the spirit of absolute transparency on behalf of the OP. Thank you kindly.

The discount is covered by the added revenue the economy gets from foreign earned incomes from so many retirees which end up moving to Panama and their pensions, originating from out of Panama end up directly funnelling money into the Panamanian economy. So, Panama is very glad to extend those amenities whilst benefiting members of its own ageing population as well. So, by you going to Panama, even with all of those discounts you will be getting, you, in fact, will be paying for these retirement benefits to the Panamanian population as well. ;-) So, welcome to Panama! Truly a win/win situation!! :D In other words, it's quite the bargain everyone would hope for. You can't beat that with a stick! :D

Marianna i didn't know about the discounts in the hotels. I'll come to.Panama probably in May or June of this year. My original reason for moving to Panama was a fiscal.one. the hungry Belgian taxman shaves 500 euros of taxes on my 2300 euro.pension. that I find most irritating. Then I heard of the Pensionado visa and discounts and I watched the vlogs from people who had made the move and I was sold. My name is Hugue. I'm 65 and from Brussels -Belgium. I'll buy your guide book and the access to your Facebook page that goes with it. And I'll.probably take a local guide from your company. So I'll come for an exploratory visit first and to open a bank account. Then I'll fly back to Belgium to communicate the said bank account number to the Office des pensions and once that done I'll come to.Panama for good. During my exploratory visit I plan to stay a couple of weeks in the highlands and the rest at sea level probably at Bocas del Torro. I'll then be able to judge the heat and decide what I like best : the wet spring time of the highlands or the summer all year long of the seaside. Cheers Hugue
