Glad you having a great experiences in Panama. I been in Panama for over 5 years now and really enjoy living in the city. My location is in San Francisco area next to the Sheraton Hotel. I a retired military type and learned lots by just getting on a bus and traveling to different places in Panama. I only know two Americans in Panama and all my other friends are Panamanian. Once you are accepted you are part of Panama. I feel much safer there then in USA. Yes getting used to the culture there is unique. Love the 34 days of peaceful protest back in November which I joined and everyone had a time especially at the local canteen! 6 beers for $8 is a deal and waving the made in Chine Panamanian flags was fun. Never can forget the 11 days of landfill dump burning which the first time l ran my AC continuously. Yes Panama has its problems but l would live there then in USA. You need to check out Central Avenue for the real Panama people shop and work. By the way l do have a car but use public transportation 95% of the time. Need to spend time in Albrook Mall it’s great place to spend a day with all the food courts. Enjoy your life in Panama.

I can't believe this will be me in about a month! I'm also have challenges getting my large dog here. I'll have to figure something out. Panama City here I come!
