This beautiful lady is the one whose story impressed me, that I showed my wife she came home from a hard days work. I said to my wife" listen to this lady story,and her concerns, isn't this what you are looking for in retirement " she said to me" let's make a go at it" We are now full time residents in Panama, and enjoying every moment of it. I like it how Krystal said she is accepted, no body judge her, that's true Panama is a mix of different culture from all over the world. Yes, the doctors are great and care about anyone, after all that is what they studied for. Panama has the best coffee in the world, beside the Pacific and Atlantic along with many beautiful places. When I hear such good things about my country, they confirm what Zonians (americans born in the panama canal area) friends who left Panama many years ago still tell me that they cannot forget Panama and it is the best country where they have lived.

After a couple trips there, we bought a lot on the Pacific ocean outside of Pedasi, and are currently having a house built there. A very enjoyable video. I like the fact that you guys pronounce Boquete correctly. I’ve seen other PRT videos where expats that have lived there for more than a decade still don’t pronounce it correctly. I’ve been to Panama briefly before but I’m thinking maybe a month long visit might be in the near future. And Kristl, your enthusiasm is a joy to see !

Wow! Amazing. I am from Chicago also but the Lord had me move to Kenosha, Wisconsin 20 years ago. I wanted to leave the USA and move to the Philippines and after days and hours of research He said No! Panama instead. All these videos of Boquette just kept popping up all over the place! Sometimes the Lord works in mysterious ways other times He is blatantly obvious ! Krstl when I saw your other video I was in total tears and knew for Sure. You ! I also want to relocate to Panama and I'm gearing towards Boquete area.I love the beach, however not sure if I can deal with the extreme heat ? It's great to have the options. Year-round cooler weather really appeals to me. Great to live in the mountains and head to beach would be the perfect merging. Congratulations on finding love! Hello, would you share what insurance is good in Panama and your cataract surgeon is. Hughie

This is a sensitive topic but listening to your experience has brought it to my mind. What about funeral arrangements? Do people have their remains sent back to the US or do they make arrangements to be buried there?

Where was the hospital that she went to? I am interested in knowing as I understand there is limited hospital care ( no overnight care facility ) in Boquette.

I seem to remember from her first video that Krstl had a Pensionado Visa...How was she able to start a business with this type of Visa?

One thing one should be aware of in Panama is: retail trade is illegal for non-Panamanians in Panama. You can only do wholesale as foreigner. You can found a limited company to get around this limitation but this brings some more annoyances. I also thought about selling something and dismissed it. Many foreigners (e.g. from Colombia, Nicaragua, etc.) do it nevertheless.

Noticed something unusual about the video the landlord moves quickly? Most of the other videos they tell You expect things to move very slowly

When you sell your products at the market is that considered “work” so you would have to have a different visa than the pensionado? Do you have to pay taxes on the sales?
