Mine arrived yesterday and so far not overly blown away. I had 'assumed' it would be touch af and face tracking at this price point. Great looking, great build and I'm sure the footage will look great too, but I suspect I'll be using it as a static cam for events only now.

Excellent presentation, even more so when you consider that the presentator speaks English with a very good understandable accent. He obviously had just thoroughly bathed, his clothes, and indeed the whole environment are spotless clean. 3 thumbs-ups.

it was a decent unboxing of the camera unit. You did a decent enough of a job showing some of the features and showed us all of the buttons and features on the exterior of the camera. It would have been nice seeing some actual footage filmed with the camera in use along with some of the basic settings as part of the demo. Overall it was a decent unboxing, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a review and is definitely NOT a demo... I'd like to see a real review and a real demo of the camera's abilities, features and settings. It's a bit frustrating because there are literally dozens of "unboxing videos" of this unit... many of them are garbage, some are barely ok. But the point is, there are already dozens of unboxing videos of this unit. I'd like to see video footage and demos filmed by this unit. I have seen several videos,

Remember 4K cameras need special edit software that is not always available the "final cut software " that is required is no longer available one that you can use is Premier pro this is one of the few edit suites that will work with 4K also cyberlink power director .

I returned Neil. Wrong battery supplied. Panasonic support was bad. Also a little noisy on video quality.

Hello Geeknoids, After almost 3 years with this camera...what's your thoughts?? Was it worth the extra money?? Did you use a lot the extra features? The 4K capabilities? Is it still a good buy in Dec 2019? What you'd say is the best environment for this camera?

The CX350 is great, but I always look at sensor size and lens options when considering low light.

I could prefer this HC-X1 over Panasonic HC-X1500, which by the way is very good camera, but sensor is too small. So watching test footage, even after RU-vid compression you can clearly see the difference between these 2 models. This HC-X1 with 1 inch sensor produces more rich and deep contrast image. So awakens a question, that even though HC-X1500 have 10bit internal recording , but is it really capable to produce a true HDR with its small half inch sensor?

I have looked at this camera - if only the JVC GY-HM200 had the same size sensor as this and the 20:1 zoom! I want the live streaming capability that the GY-HM200 offers, but also the benefits that this camera offers. I think though for now, the live streaming capability is worth more to me.

Have you filmed anything in the sky with it,I film mainly Common Buzzards in the sky and sometimes track them for at least 25 seconds it’s 3 times the weight of my Sony FDR-AX53,can it be shoulder mounted as I’ve an illness that affects my muscles were they become easily tired.

The UX180 picture quality is identical, it just has SDI connections and a pro warranty.

Thanks, I am interested in a GH5 but I live in the middle of nowhere in bavaria, I can't find a demo device to test. I need some sample footage on a card shot in 3840x2160p50/60 but I need the complete files and folders on the card. I need also to test my NLE what happens with splitted MP4/MOV files of a long continuous shot. (>96 GB or Fat32 formatted sdhc or split on different cards) -> Can you please do a sample shot of a random object and upload sample files somewhere like google drive? If you don't have a GH5 laying around, a test with a fat32 formatted sdhc in a gh4 will also do, to test the splitted files in my NLE. Please help me :)

Dave .. the Panasonics are better designed , by the fixed lens cap ,not like the jvc hm170 and hm200 , I don't like the flip outs on jvc which looks like they are going to snap off , Panasonic is the business , I think prestons are the best.. going back years the only place gave good deals was prestons.. good luck to you..

You cannot touch to focus, other adjustments and buttons are possible but might be audible depending on how you are recording audio.
