FIRST, I want to thank you for turning the dryer UPSIDE DOWN LOOKING FOR THE LOCKING MECHANISM! THANK YOU THANK YOU! I unboxed mine yesterday and didn’t read the instructions smh, so I didn’t know how to turn it on so I searched for instructional vids. Yours didn’t come up, but one did and it mentioned nothing about locking mechanism. I found your other video today where you unboxed it and turned it upside down looking for lioking mechanism. When your dryer made the beeping sound when you turned it on and mine didn’t, and when I turned my dryer on and a lil water came out I knew something was wrong so I turned mine upside down and saw that locking mechanism was still attached! I removed it and my Panda works great, thank you so much!
@@mslady1230 I’m so happy you got it all sorted out. I don’t remember if I had mentioned that when you’re finished using it just leave the lid open so it can dry out. 👍
Nice. I had a Maytag front loader and never again. Got hives from one teaspoon of soap not rinsing out of any load because it uses less water. And all my clothes came out dingy and grey. It stunk too with mold. I was so happy to go back to a top load Whirlpool like your Speed Queen. Old school is best. Water gets pulled thru the clothes. All the soap and grey came out on first wash. Would never get a wash plate top loader. I could do better with my clothes in the bathtub swishing it with a stick and Tidepod. Lol. That's a neat spinner. Great for camping or apartment
I totally understand where you’re coming from about the front loaders. I have an old GE front loader that I was using for years but the bearings went out. I got new bearings but just haven’t started the replacement job yet. When I was using it I never would fill it all the way with clothes and very little detergent and definitely a 2nd rinse. However I really love my Speed Queen washer but do want to try a Speed Queen front loader one day.
@@Bunkysworkshop I had an Electrolux front loader that spun at 1400 RPMs when I took the towels out of it they were definitely dryer then when I take them out of the speed queen or one of my direct drives.
@@petermaz701 I do have an old GE front loader but it needs new bearings. I will be doing them sometime this winter down in my workshop. I can do a comparison after that. I’m sure it does about 1200 rpm.
I have the same one but mines is stainless steel. You inspired me to buy one on Amazon and let me tell you, I love that thing. So thank you for giving me that idea
I bought my Panda spin dryer November 20, 2017 on Amazon. On June 24, 2022, the suspension broke loose (I can see a loose screw rolling around through the bottom cover). Thankfully, this happened as the unit was just starting to spin. If it had happened when at full speed, the results could have been disastrous. I just ordered a Laundry Alternative Ninja from Amazon. Hopefully, it is quieter and lasts longer than the Panda.
@@Bunkysworkshop Thanks. I love my panda, and didn't want to eff it up. But I think it'll be okay. I think the main thing is to pack it in properly, keep it balanced.
@@Bunkysworkshop Cool. I have one that I'v had for 6 or 7 years the motor still works but it won't turn, even by hand. I'm going to see if I can fix it before I buy a new one but I do hope they will produce a larger model. I'd be willing to spend $300-$350 if it could take a 35-45 pound load. At that point the ability to hook up a hose to the drain would be great in some situations.
