Watching Panoz at the Le Mans many years ago was a treat, looking and sounding like nothing else.

Nice, my heart is always with the fords (had a big block shelby) - recently heard of the Panoz from Leno but loved the torino/italia way back and that reminds me of yours (though you are faster) Stunned by your range of experience. Riding in your Panoz is thrilling. If I had the money I'd beg you to find me a rough Tiger - nobody finds cars like you. Was always hunting while trucking and dragged a few back to Canada. Love the tech stuff but the race ones would make a nice mix - a bit of info on the race car would be nice too - like how do you get 500 horses out of a Windsor? would've thought 400 at best

Great video, I just drove a Panoz GTS there last week. fun car. took awhile to get used to the feel coming from a Radical SR3. Is your engine the spec 351? what was your best lap time? Thanks Chris

I much prefer your other videos to this Race series, I'd like to see a series of videos on your collection of cars, a history and current status of each one, maybe a 10 minute video each car

my question is, why did they mix such a slow class with your's? thats asking for disaster imo

Very few races have single class racing, even the top endurance racing mixes faster prototype cars with GT cars. This group usually starts the grids in two or three waves to allow the cars to get the best racing in before the faster cars start to come up from behind.

While I agree that it does seem like a dangerous practice, having some traffic on the track makes for more interesting racing. I'm sure it gets frustrating/annoying for everyone involved though, except the spectators.

Trust me I love flying past those moving chicanes except when they are interrupting a race out of class.

0:02 Today's race video is from 2014, with me driving my 2006 Panoz Esperante GTS at the Gateway Motorsports Track, 0:14 Gateway is probably my favorite oval, I've run many of them, but not many are as fun as this one. 0:21 If you're not familiar with the Panoz Esperante GTS, It's powered by a Ford 351 Windsor. This one making 530 horsepower, & 450 ft lbs of torque. 0:32 And the car comes in at about 2800 pounds. I'm sure I have more race hours in this car than any other race car I've ever had. 0:40 My main competitors to the Panoz are Corvettes and Vipers. Unfortunately I've never got to race it against another Panoz. 0:47 At the end of the video, you'll see what a big role traffic plays in a race. 0:51 When it's very hard to get past a car that has much more power than you, such as the Viper, 0:57 slower traffic that your coming up upon, can really hurt you in the corners, & give the faster car an advantage in front of you. 1:05 Unfortunately, I no longer have the Panoz, but I have years & years of video.
