Sorry to the haters, but they are tight AF. It’s a tribute, with A-list, personal friends of the departed brothers. They have Vinnie and Dime on the screens constantly, on the kick drums. They say every note is in honor of the brothers. I’m glad to live in a world where this exists, and I suspect NOBODY regretted going.
I was a doubter but this..HOLY SHIT!! Saw them twice in 90s so this is a nice surprise...tight!! Lost my hearing for 3 days pretty much after concert in K-Zoo Mi
@@briantingley7316gotta get some eargasm plugs! I like loud concerts but.im more concerned about still bring able to hear later in life. My ears are already pretty bad so I've got to hang onto what I still have lol
@@chucktouchton398Not at the end of suicide note PT 2 Charlie is only hitting one crash cymbal. Vinnie had 4 he would hit in this pattern, 2,3,4,3,2,1,2,3,4,3....
Vinnie hit a lot harder and I noticed like in suicide note part 2, Vinnie had 4 crash cymbals he would hit in a certain pattern during the chug at the end. Charlie is just hitting one cymbal there.
My first PanterA show was on the Great Southern Trend Kill Tour. The curtain was closed with Suicide Note pt 1 playing and then broke right into Suicide Note pt 2 as the curtain dropped there, they were. Rex, Dime, Phil and Vinnie Paul. Four rattlesnakes biting us and for that 2 hours we all let the venom flow within us. The pit was a beautiful mixture of anger and love. The music is timeless, and the Abbott Brothers will never be forgotten. Thank You for posting the show.
Saw them here in Camden 1998 at Ozzfest. They killed it!! So glad they came around. Miss Vinnie and Dime but Zach and Charlie a great fit!! Loved every minute!!
I was here at the 2000 Ozzfest when the original lineup played. Sadly, I was laid out in the concession area from a long day of partying during their set and only caught a few glimpses of them on a monitor. I never did get another chance to see them and really regret that now.
I Fucking love that they aren't using a backtrack to cover up shit, we all grow old, and Phil is just embracing it. No need to hide behind 30-year-old vocals, great job, dude! Bought VDoP in 1992, a huge fan, I Hope I can make a show!
Fortunate enough to go to this show with my brother of 56 years and my 12 year old son. Of course it was his first Pantera show. and we sat right next to the sound board. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! My boy had the best time and I'm glad I was able to be there with him to see and hear history. Solid props to the sound man who gave the set list to my son after the show as well as a pick. A night he will never forget! Horns and fists in the air
I was there. I can not believe how awesome Phil sounded I never expected him to do Suicide Note Pt 2 and he killed it! He has absolutely found the fountain of youth when it comes to his voice. Hearing him and the old songs I felt like I was in a time machine.
That's really the standout of the show for me. Phil really came through on this. He'd been off the rails for a bit so his coming back strong was the biggest tribute of it all to Pantera
@@paulanderson771 Totally agree! Hopefully his voice holds up for all these shows and more down the road I hope they come around again at some point! I was even thinking of going up to Scranton PA on Sunday to see them again.
Haters are gonna hate but they sound amazing. Haven't seen 1 person at a show say anything negative..all good..and RU-vid doesn't do justice for live shows so i can imagine it sounded even better live..cant wait to see them in California
@@timechild1261at times it's little off but not much and I don't think phil even made a face during that first solo. He was just watching him play. Musicians do that for visual cues. If you haven't seen them live then you judt don't know. The videos doesn't do it justice at all. I promise you zakks playing is fuckin sick live.
It was but ever wonder why he never has a pedal? Guitar tech behind the scenes or a dat tape? Not hating just curious. They all sound amazing and I’m one of those old folks that seen them in the ‘90’s. I’m from New Orleans.
GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide. LOVE YOU ALL...!!! and i had the pleasure of meeting dime bag..and wow what a great bro he was..!
Suffering through bangover with ringing ears but I can't get Slaughtered out of my head. Thank you for spending some of your focus last night on recording this so well. I salute you.
One of the best concerts ever. Exceeded all expectations and then some. My voice is completely shot and my neck is sore as hell lol. Can’t wait to do it again this weekend 🤘🏻
My first concert was them I was 14 and my parents not only let me but paid for me and 4 friends the oldest of which was barely 16 to drive 2 states away to go to the gig it was Pantera, anthrax, soylent green and it was utterly brutally epic! Thanks moms and pops for being hardcore enough to make sure their teenage daughter got to go to the edge and rock the fuck out!🎉🤩😜🤯🥳🥵😈😤☠💀👽💯
I never gave Charlie Benante proper dues since I was never a big Anthrax fan...but he's killin it, no doubt about it. A lot of great drummers out there, but not sure who else could channel Vinnie as well as he does? Zakk? Well, he was Dimes friend and does him justice...but nobody can replicate exactly what Dime laid down not only in studio, but live as well. He was a generational talent that is very much missed in 2023 and beyond. Thankfully recordings live indefinitely and inspire young guitar players today and on into the future.🤘
@@jamiewalton666 Uhh, he's good and I'll give him props for being one of the best and having such a long career, but in a world where Danny Carrey, Tomas Haake, Jay Weinberg (and several others who's names escape me at the moment) are still doing their thing...thats a bold statement.
Ok, I gotta admit it, I really wasn't expecting much but these guys KILLED IT! Charlie and Zakk were great fits for this reunion of sorts! Phil sounds better then at times in the past and Rex still has it..... Zakk can promote his products(great stuff)...and the crowd was loving the music! What a win-win show for everyone! Glad everyone had a great time! 👍
I seen them in Noblesville Indiana just the other day and they were fucking awesome! Can't wait to see them again! 🤘"I DONT GIVE A FUCK! WE CAN'T LOSE, AINT NO FUCKING SURRENDER, WE CAN'T LOSE!"
Saw them in 97 or so with Zombie. Fantastic show. Im glad they are playing the music that deserves to be played... I wish Dime and Vin were here to play it with Phil and Rex... greatest heavy metal band ever.
Thanks, Zakk, and Charlie for filling such giant shoes! Keeping the Pantera machine rolling for the next generation to behold is incredible! Thanks for the post! Show sounds great! Vinny and dime are proud!
I saw them for every tour after cowboys. . The vulgar tour and beyond driven tour were by far the most incredible metal shows I've ever seen. On the beyond driven tour they were opening with use my third arm and it was savage. If you saw those show you know what I mean. The power those boys had was amazing to a 17 year old me.
Was there, and in my opinion, they sounded great. Charlie and Zach did a great job. And Phil voice was a lot better than I expected. Seen them twice in the 90s. Great job.
No one can fill Dimebag's shoes but Zack comes pretty Damn close! Perfect choice for the tribute band. I've always said, even before Vinnie passed that is ANYONE could do it, it'd be Zack Wylde...
I’m glad to see everyone stepping their game up to make these shows as good as they can be without the brothers!!!! Pantera fans coming together to honor dime and vin makes me happy!
Wow!!! That Drum set made cry when we lost 2 Brothers, and to see this Tribute is so bittersweet. Thanks Phil, Zakk, and the rest! RIP Dimebag Daryl, and Vinnie.
Jim, I’ve been following you since 2019 and you always post kick ass videos. I was there too last night, I wasn’t expecting much from this tour but hoooooly shit… thanks for letting me watch it again and again.
I was at that show and it was better then i could have ever expected. And to have Zakk wylde and charlie benante as the guitar player and drumer are perfectly fiting as to how cloes vinnie and dim were to them. LONG LIVE DIMEBAG DARRELL and VINNIE PAUL though pantera and the music they help create.
Charlie and Zakk nailed this! One of the heaviest shows I've ever seen. Lamb of God opening!? It was amazing. I also loved how Zakk honored Dime's parts by playing the bulk of the licks but not mimicking it all to a T. AMAZING TRIBUTE!
Charlie, Zak, and Rex look like they have been in the same band for decades. I'd probably pass out trying to sing shit like that at their ages. Appreciate the moments.
ive seen many metal band in the world but this is the monster of all metal no 1 one of a kind pure genius smile now in paradise abbott bro's dimebag and vince😢
