[МЕЧ] ARMOR HAUPTMANN Thank you, but the Panther kept most of it's technical problems, and at the end of the war it numerous more. So if these would have been fixed it would probably be the best tank Germany ever made, but still the Sherman was the best tank of the war, and proofed that in fighting on every theater of war, something the Panther couldn't do.

Panzer Picture, I like your videos man so I dont wanna debate on this with you :) I just want to say that I think its a matter of judging the different aspects.If judging by the combination of effectiveness-production-maintenance then is T-34-85 the best tank of the ww2. Good day.

Panzer Picture, :D Alright then,fasten your seat belts cuz we're going to experience some turbulance here :D Naah,just joking :) T-34-85 was not only better by easier and faster production mate,also in maintance and repair,with equal reliability I guess.If we comparing the latest sherman model M4A3E8 with T-34-85 both got more or less the same armor,a bit better mobility for T-34-85,shermans M1A2 76mm cannon's got worse penetration capability then sharpheaded (остроголовые) 85mm rounds of D-5T,and worse HE damage (although using about 30% of lend-lease gunpowder in 1944 :)).So I'd say T-34-85 was a better tank also by combat performance.And,by historical events aswell,because we know T-34 is a veteran,that began his battle path in 1941 and despite all mechanical problems and shortcomings at that time did shocked the german invaders and lost its title of the best medium tank only in 1943 with the arrival of Panther and Pz.IV with its better armor and 75mm Kwk.40 L/48,until it was modified almost in everything and became the T-34-85 and became better then Pz.IV(H).And because main strategic victories of ww2 were achieved on the eastern front,like battles of Moscow and Stalingrand and Kursk,and were MOSTLY thanks to T-34 tanks (although during the battle of Kursk the main battle hammer of the Red army was field and anti-tank artillery,but tanks also played an important role),and more then 3/4 of the german forces found their grave on the eastern front,I'd say T-34/T-34-85 is the best winning tank of ww2,not sherman mate,sorry.But personally,I do like Sherman aswell :) I also want to add that I'll never forget a few words about Red Army from a dutch book.It was something like that : "Eer aan de russische soldaat en zijn onvergetelijke moed en heldadigheid" and "de overwinning was te danken niet aan de tanks maar aan de Hitlers ondeschatting van de gevechtskracht van de Russen en hun liefde voor de moederland"( "Honor to the Russian soldier and their unforgetable courage and heroism" and "the victory was achieved not because of the tanks but because Hitler underestimated the fighting spirit of the Russians and their love for the Motherland"). It's all,truth as well.

The T-34 just like the Sherman were never really meant to build on quality and were pretty much meant to break down, it's just on which tank was the one that broke down the most.

+Panzer Picture of course! the best tank is a broken one! also, there is a very rough texture on the underside of the mantlet, is this from traces of zimmeritt or is it where there used to be the 'chin' of steel was welded on?

We will probably will never see this Panther running soon just because of money and that people will complain after it is done. The old administration almost ruined the museum and people really started to hate them and the museum still gets a lot of hate because of this, so the new administration is really careful now.

Die twee balkenkreuze weet niemand echt maar mijn thoerie is dat ze ooit over een kruis heen hebben geschilderd en na tijdtje kwam de oude kruis gewoon weer naar boven. Maar die lijnen zijn van de oude zimmerit.

It is displayed outside near a park in Breda, it was also complete with engine etc... But not anymore, after restauration: all went to England.. to Kevin Wheatcroft afaik. On the other hand: it is a not moving monument and the interior is now saved from further decay...

It was restored with horrible incorrect zimmerit and clown camo at one point and that's the damaged from it.

ZeMasterOfAll it's a G, because of a straight hull only the G had and only the Late G had a different Gun mantlet.

Much like Panzer Picture already said it's an ausf. G, the main give away of this is the lack of the visor for the driver in the hull. The chin mantlet that you're referring to was only introduced late in the production run of the ausf. G and many tanks did not have it.

i agree,i was just saying that its effective firing range was low.and that holland was a country worth fighting for.
