I just think it’s funny that in a comment roasting somebody else about their words, his words weren’t all spelled correctly. You guys have probably all been corrected before, so you hate on those of us who proof-read our comments before posting them. Seriously, it takes like 15 seconds
I once saw an article which was from 2011 talking about how the Texans made a mistake drafting Watt over Fairley who will go on to be an all time great for Detroit lol. Pure comedy.
I was going to comment the same damn thing. It's like his holy grail. That's awesome that Brees kept his, but that doesn't obligate anyone else to, and we don't need to be reminded every single time.
I assume you know what they refer to when they say "every down back" Was Mccaffrey smaller than most every down backs tend to be? Yes....thats it, no more to it really
RonnyDonny13 Difference is those white RB’s will get the same treatment as McCrafrey did going into the NFL. It took decades for black QB’s to get respect. White Running backs will get the same treatment from scouts.
You'd be amazed how much material like that can drive you. I once wrote down something specific for me back around ~2002 or so (or about an event that year) and this month I finally feel redeemed for it (took 21 years, but better than nothing). #photonBlast #theNorthRemembers
My son works at a buddy's steakhouse while in high school. He told me the bartenders were saying L. Fournette was a beast & gonna have a great NFL career. They said the opposite about McCaffrey, really trashing him... His next shift I went in, made them all a $100 bet that in 3yrs Mcaffrey would be all-pro, and Fournette would be a bust or constantly injured. Superbowl last yr the restaurant threw a watch party. 2 of the 3 guys still work there. I didnt say a word to them just nodded. At halftime a waitress brings me an order of wings, a beer and an envelope with $200 inside.
The one about him getting lost if going to a team that won’t use his skill set wasn’t that wrong, many players that could of been very good, even great can no question get lost in certain systems that don’t use the player correctly. Wes Welker prime example of that. Didn’t thrive in San Diego and had his moments in Miami but was ultimately utilized for his maximum potential and skill in NE and later in Denver.
Just compare Tyreek Hills career so far to John Ross’. I think Ross got hurt maybe at some point but aside from that I think it’s a great example that two players with similar skill sets can be either used excellently by a coaching staff or have their talent absolutely squandered.
I’m gonna be honest, I loved him at Stanford, but I didn’t think he would be a superstar like he is now. I thought he’d be a good piece in a rbbc, and a good returner, but I never thought he’d turn out the way he did
McCaffrey even after how good he has been still gets disrespected. I believe he's the best back in football right now. People put Saquon higher based on potential but... He hasn't gotten there yet. I know Saquon has only been in the league 2 years heading into his third but McCaffrey has only been there one year longer and McCaffrey is better.
I still want to punch the "Better than Barry" guy in the face. Barry held that record over 2 decades and he did it in on in 12 games. Barry sat out enough 4th Quarters to subtract over 1 game.
Dats BS, His stats was better than Alvin Kamara's in the Combine. He never dropped the ball not once. Dem scouts was abit intimidated by this white man who could run as fast, if not faster than the Black RBs that was drafted with him.
bro all these dudes be bald or getting bald. idk if it’s pressure of trying to make it to the league, or they do so much Test when they’re younger it makes hair loss much quicker
Agree with previous comment ...he is white ..no need to say anything else ...Jesus. Christ ..who pays these scouts....thankfully I am from across the pond where scouts in sports have actually earn their money and don’t get away with race related bullshit ..
