Idk if I’d call it a shame, and fournette being gone is the reason he won’t succeed? Nah I didn’t think fournette was that good tbh and didn’t deserve to be picked 4, he was still the best player at the position on the team but idk, hopefully there has to be a reason? Lol.
@@tracys2354 imo lions sit behind Stafford learn from him lions have a great receiving core if jags take Lawrence this year a 4th rd or 5th rd pick could get him
Literally scrolled here to find this comment. Jesus Christ. Y'all have money for this show, and you can't do fuck all about the damned fire truck noise?
They don't say it much since Russ won the SB. Baker is fairly short and so is Kyler but no one really said they won't succeed because of it. It's still a definite disadvantage though, but it isn't that terrible to overcome. It should be on a draft report.
Yeah, except Russ has a cannon, and is a master at extending plays and Brees is one of the most accurate QBs of all time. Minshew does lack velocity on his intermediate-deep throws. I like his release, though.
@My Name Doesnt Matter ummm yeah it does. The taller normally the better because you can throw over defenders if you are tall. If you're shorter 6 foot and below, you might not be able to see over your offensive line, or the defenders abd also might not be able to throw over them
No, he's much better off playing now. Offenses now allow for much greater deficiencies in height and arm strength. He would have never made it in a seven-step drop scheme.
Bruce Banner ok but all those things have absolutely nothing to do with being good back then and this man sean gav u a legit reason why hes better now not some personality and his LoOk
@@jackacciardo8642 actually they do. But he also has the athleticism and arm strength to preform in that era. Only a handful of QBs back then could do what these guys are doing now.
When it's all said and done, in 20 years after battling Watson, mahomes, and Jackson in the playoffs, and after his 5sb wins along with 6MVP's this comment will have 2k+ upvotes and be widely accepted as fact
Jaguars have a fucked up front office and their talented players can't stand that(i mean they're right about that), and they left. Since day 1 they don't like the idea of Minshew being the starter because he have too much personality and was a 7th round pick. They'll be bad and probably pick 1# overrall and take Trevor Lawrence, and Minshew will be blamed because Jacksonville doesn't know how to run that team anymore.
Sonny Jurgensen had a pot belly, rubbery arm, one of greatest quarterback ever because he knew WHEN to throw, WHERE to throw, and delivered with GREAT ACCURACY AND TIMING, renown for one of the most catchable passers ever. End of story.
I like Minshew. They are right about his arm strength, but he is a scrappy dude with pretty good accuracy and no denying he is a lot of fun to watch. He’s like Baker Mayfield if Baker Mayfield wasn’t an asshole.
@@Skeletor-hl9jd Nah you can kinda tell that Baker is an ass but he's smart enough to hide it fairly well. Also I'm a browns fan and I'm rooting for him but facts are facts
@@rctecopyright I mean, isn't that everyone lol? You don't change by saying "Man I'm kind of mean, I should stop." And then immediately stop and never mess up again! You slowly change and try to do better, that's called "maturing". Baker was 22 and one of the most famous athletes in the states when he went to the browns, and he let it get to his head. Now he's trying to grow up and do better. Don't disparage the man for that. No one is perfect, but few have the strength of character to change for the better. Don't discourage those who try by telling them they're 'still bad on the inside' or anything like that. That only discourages positive change.
I can tell you something about the arm strength having seen all his games. its not that he has a weak arm, its what the "biomechanics majors" said about his stride and driving the ball. He relies a lot on his arms and not as much on his trunk as other pro players when throwing the ball downfield. Dude has very strong arms, no problem there whatsoever.
@@gav2585 I thought that was the funniest thing to come out of last season. The Dolphins and Bengals tried to tank for Tua. Fitzy said "like hell I am" and through sheer willpower forced the dolphins to win. The Bengals ended up getting Burrow instead. In a way it kind of worked for Miami because they still ended up with Tua. The jags may pull off a miracle and get Trevor Lawrence
B B he was humble dude when he was in school. I never talked to him personally tho since I wasn’t interested in sports at the time. I was a performing arts kid.
It seems he may start for Jalen against the Cowboys Christmas Eve and I’m looking forward to it . I have lots of confidence in this man and the oline in front of him
I hate that they’ve turned this into anybody who has a good week or rookie year does this. I saw that they had Minshew but also other rookies like Saquon and CMC. Gardner more than the other two but it’s not like these guys have been studs for 5-10 years. Like these young guys could fall off in a year and then a video of them reading their negative profile (things that could easily be why their career derailed) and laughing at it would just look really dumb
Yeah, that WSU vs UW game was harsh. I was sitting in the Cub and it started like an hour into the game, and it was just awful all around. If it didn't snow, he'd have done so much better. All in all, he's a solid player and a cool dude.
