Their themes are basically: *Morton*: Somewhat generic, but still certainly enjoyable. *Iggy*: A nice epic feel for the gladiator match his battle is replicating. *Ludwig*: Intimidating, bit still with a hint of playfulness. *Wendy*: A nice pirate-y jig, with the right amount of intensity. *Larry*: Jazzy, very reminiscent of music from the 1930's, and the little train sound at the beginning is just fun. *Lemmy*: Fun, fitting of his location's circus theming, but still fairly sophisticated. *Roy*: Intense, rock-style, and a nice introduction to Black Bowser's Castle.
Morton: a remix of Mario 3's castle theme, but a bit "hilarious" Iggy: I'm getting both Kirby and The Gladiator vibes Ludwig:GAMETAL WHERE ARE YOU? Wendy: add a guitar and it's basically Tape's theme Larry: *YOU LIKE JAZZ?* Lemmy: 3D World called,it wants its everything back Roy: the melody is good, but the synth ruined it. If Color Splash makes it to the Switch, they need to remix it with Origami King's instruments Bowser 1:prog rock goodness Bowser 2: so intense and threatening but again, the cartoony synth ruins it Fearsome Foe: that bass is tastier than the Steak
So... who do we have here? -Leston -Frustratingly Overpowerd Oponent -THE SUPER MEGABAD LUDWIG OF DOOOoOM!! -Mario's girlfriend -"Paint me like one of your French koopas" -Best koopaling -The king of the DUCKS
Morton’s theme: It’s basic, but my god those beat drops Iggy’s theme: Not much to say, but the fusion of brass & 70’s synths gives me life Ludwig’s theme: Feels like a car chase in a spy movie Wendy’s theme: Every pirate song in Color Splash goes hard Larry’s theme: This one took me a bit to get into, however I really like the big band vibe it has. Lemmy’s theme: Probably my second favorite boss track. It fits the circus theming pretty well considering the lack of demented clown vomit noises Roy’s theme: Best track. It’s basically a Mr. Bungle instrumental with Raining Blood spliced in-between
Favorite thing the Koopalings say in the game Morton: High place broke, Low place scary. Iggy: The salesman told me the chariots were invincible! I demand a refund! Ludwig: OH NO! She's going down! Wendy: Now I have some peace and rest it's time for you to rest in peace! Larry: Why can't he embrace his inner coward with his other friends? Lemmy: Yes, clap for the Wonder Ball! Roy: Thanks for the paint old man!
Morton Paper Mario Color Splash Job Interview Interviewer: Why Yes, you are.. Umm.. Morton.. Eh? Morton: ME MORTON. ME BIG GUNS Interview: Now, that's nice.. Uh, Do you hate Mario. Morton: MARIO IS MARIO. YES. Interview: No, Mario.. The Bad Guy. BAD guy. Yes? Morton: MARIO.. BAD? MORTON CRUSH MARIO SKULLS. Interview: Very Good.. What's your weapon? Morton: PEDAL STOOL. Interview: Ah. A.. Erm.. Pedal Stool.. I'm a little confused. Morton. Morton: MORTON. Interview: Fine! You get
Yeah, I really prefer how he was in Paper Jam. In fact, he had my favorite Koopaling quote in it, where he declared, "Peach's Castle is the worst! Peach's castle is smashed to dust! That doesn't rhyme, and I don't care! Master Bowser's cruel but fair!"
I do too and don't understand why people are saying they are overused. Do they not realize that before Bowser Jr. and Kamek were bigger that the Koopalings were bosses in quite a few of the old games? It's like people just can't be satisfied just like the complaining of Bowser being a final boss in several games.
I finally understand the weird order for the koopalings, it's their wand color. All the way back since new super Mario bros wii they always had the same color stone on their wand. Morton: red stone Boss of red chapter Iggy: yellow stone Boss of yellow chapter Ludwig: Blue Stone Boss of blue chapter Wendy: Purple Stone Boss of purple chapter Larry: orange Stone Boss of orange chapter Lemmy: Green stone Boss of green chapter Roy: black stone Boss of black chapter So in a way they foreshadowing what color paint star they would be protecting since new super Mario bros wii
Morton has horrible English Wendy and Iggy are strange Lemmy was on top of a circus Ludwig had half a boat as a decoy and then a real but tiny vehicle Roy was just being Roy But Larry Larry was just a badass sitting on a train. And he's an early game boss in so many Mario games!?
"Wendy's theme is best" "Iggys theme is best" "Roys theme is best" "Ludwigs theme is best" "Lemmys theme is best" "Mortons theme is best" "larrys theme is best" POINT IS... THEY ARE ALL AMAZING.
+Maggie Kemp Very... XD I can't stop imagining a "female pirate" Wendy, complete with eyepatch and pirate hat, clashing swords with Mario when I listen to this... like Captain Syrup, you know?
They need presence in a game where Bowser's leadership is gone, because I think with independence they would start heading in drastically different directions.
Im planing on doing an crossover fanfic where bowser goes missing the koopalings take the leadership of the bowser army until the third act where bowser they find an bowser that losed is memory
Fun fact; Wendy is the only koopaling that hasn’t been the last one Morton, Iggy and Lemmy in paper jam Larry in superstar saga Roy in paper jam and Ludwig in most games
i love the bass line in ludwig's theme, it kicks ass (tho kinda disappointed it didnt have a sneaky reference to a Beethoven song, that would have been funny and fitting for him)
0:00 ME WILL ROCK ME 1:22 Iggy Battle 3:13 Battle With Ludwig 4:44 Rumble With Wendy 6:13 Larry's Runaway Train 7:32 Lemmy's Grand Finale 8:54 ROyal Rumble

Mallet Madness, Morton Spectacled Spanker, Iggy Military Maniac, Ludwig Rhythemetic Ringmaster, Wendy Horrid Hijacker, Larry Incredible Illusionest, Lemmy Ruthless Runt, Roy That is my theme song names for them.
In my opinion, the names should be: Da Wrath of Da Pedal Stool (Morton), Chain Chomp Chariot Chasedown (Iggy), Cannon in Sea Major (Ludwig), The Princess of Pirates (Wendy), Troubling Trainwreck (Larry), Big Top Beatdown (Lemmy), and The Ultamante Dubstomp (Roy).
While I find all these times nice - real life instruments help a lot - and I like the variety in the genres, I find these themes pretty interesting: Iggy: well, many horns and trumpets for a battle between gladiators! The theme seems to flow without focusing on a certain melody, it's pretty curious. Ludwig: I think this catchy theme is a bit of a tribute with electric guitar, trumpets and whistles to Sticker Star's mid-boss theme, that I find awesome. A bit odd for a composer of classical music, but appropriate for the technological warfare setting and for someone who's called "Your Evilness" by his minions, in this game Ludwig really acts as the little Bowser he is complete with appropriate pose on a high place while holding the wand and the music tries to reflect that! Wendy: pretty epic, a bit of pirate music and a quite a lot of celtic music. Vocalists, brass instruments, bagpipes and guitar, what's more to ask? Lemmy: awesome circus music! Tuba, violin, xilophone and accordion do their job with this joyful theme that still warns you not to underestimate the little turtle! Roy's theme is quite an experimental one, with that piano part, so I can see why it is liked.
At least Ludwig's theme begins and ends with keyboard/piano! Something i also find interesting: when you're about to fight a Koopaling in Color Splash the Tension theme from Sticker Star plays, with the exception of Ludwig (when you encounter him on his battleship), and Roy (when he does that funny dance with the Slurp Guys before his battle starts). Ludwig's minions also call him ''sir''. Larry called him ''boss'' in Paper Jam. I'm sure he is one proud Koopaling :p
Morton's theme is rather a good reflection on how much of an idiot he is. I mean, when you listen to it (especially with the 'waved' instruments), you can sorta feel that it is the song befitting a great, big idiot.
@@ProfessorHeavyTF2 the best part of it is when Morton theme starts it sounds threatening and like a big battle but then the trombones mimic the wa wa waa like fail sound meaning that it wasnt as bad as the start thought it would be
The Koopalings Poses Morton: Trying to poop... Iggy: Imitating Mario's jumping pose Ludwig: Acting very serious Wendy: Winking at the camera Larry: Posing to be painted Lemmy: Acting goofy (in a good way) Roy: Showing his muscles.
Koopalings Poses: *Morton* is failing a T Pose *Iggy* is trying to learn to be like Mario *Wendy* is all like "Heyaaa gimme your auntie Wendy a bigg huggie" not to mention her song says "Hoe" *Roy* is trying to start a one man riot *Lemmy* is high *Ludwig* is looking very judgemental at Lemmy at how much weed he's been smoking *Larry* is admiring Ludwig's butt
I love how Larry’s theme has the train horn in it. I love all the theme songs but Ludwig’s is my favorite because it’s really good and he is also my favorite Koopaling
Aside from the requirement for specific Thing cards in order to beat them, I really liked all these boss fights a lot. I used a guide ahead of each one to make sure I had the right cards, and from there they just became fantastic bosses imo. I think Larry might have been my favourite.
Before this game, the only Koopaling that had some semblance of personality was Lemmy, but they somehow managed to make all of them very unique and memorable, best reflected in this amazing soundtrack
Considering the context, it's not too far off. You fight her in an island, onto which you got with a pirate crew, and Wendy herself's with the treasure.
1. Cool it. 2. Here, girl! Fetch! 3. Right back at ya. Here let me help you up. 4. Cheese. 5. Ah, stuff it. 6. My dance moves are on _point._ 7. Time to clean house.
While I’m waiting to hear the full Origami King soundtrack, I’m keeping myself occupied with the soundtrack from Color Splash, which has the best soundtrack in the series in my opinion. Here’s the list of themes from my favorite to least favorite. GODLIKE: 1) Roy BASICALLY MASTERPIECES: 2) Ludwig 3) Lemmy 4) Larry 5) Morton DECENT: 6) Iggy 7) Wendy All of them are good. i’m going so far as to say that the top 5 are all masterpieces, that’s how consistent the quality of music is in this game. Roy’s theme might be one of my favorite musical compositions to ever exist. Not just in Mario, not just in gaming, but in general. I can’t get over how divine it sounds.
Mario the Shy Guy I so agree with Larry he is so funny and bad to the Bone I mean sitting on top of a train?! that's a suicide attempt and he even fights on top of the train I am so surprised that he would do such a thing
Morton: Dear Lord, This is amazing, Nothing can top this! Iggy: Morton, I'm sorry, but the chomps went out. Ludwig: I turn heavy metal into nice music >:) Wendy: The perfect music for ludwig, not me! Larry: I beat you now, iggy! *laughs menacingly* Lemmy: I beat all of you, so beat that! Roy: I'm about to end this clown's career
My list: 7: Larry (ok) 6: Wendy (good) 5: Roy (very good but slightly annoying) 4: Morton (great AND catchy) 3: Iggy (wonderful) 2: Ludwig (need I say more?) 1: lemmy. The best.
One day, I'll make sure to get Nintendo to make a Mario and Luigi Paper Jam 2 having the Koopalings meeting their paper versions like how Bowser, Bowser Jr, and Kamek met their paper versions
Boi Bruh No origami! King Olly stole Paper Bowser’s Minions by turning them into his Folded Soldiers against their will! (The Paper Bone Goombas, Paper Ptooies, Paper Buzzy Beetles, Paper Pokeys, Paper Yellow Shy Guys, and the new Paper Chargin Chucks) He even made Paper Peach into one of his commanders, along with Paper Gooper Blooper and must be tossed into the shredder, along with throwing his remains into the fires of Hell for moving the goalposts on Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam 2! #wewantmarioluigipaperjam2 #shredkingolly
@@seesaw41 But Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam 2 CAN be possible! There’s a petition link in my newest video (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ANMpOHLy4Dk.html) that you and your friends and their friends and their friends can sign to help make the dream of the Koopalings and their Paper Counterparts team up a reality!
Favourite themes: 3Ludwig/Iggy 2Lemmy 1Roy (the king of the ducks!) Favourite bosses: 3Ludwig 2Larry 1Roy MA' BOI! Favourite koopaling: 3Roy (yeah…:/) 2Ludwig/Iggy 1Lemmy
Their themes fit so well I am very happy that Nintendo puts in extra work for the koopalings unlike every other boss! My favorites are Lemmy's, Ludwigs, and Larrys. I just think Lemmy's fits so well as a circus theme, and the fact that in Larry's theme they added a train sound which also matches with him being on a train when you fight him! I just love the themes!
Finally someone whose opinions match up with mine! Those are my top 3, and not only that, but also in that EXACT order. Roy’s theme is divine. I love all of them, but if I had to choose, Iggy’s and Wendy’s themes would probably be my two least favorites, which is strange because those seem to be the top 2 for most.
I love Iggy, Lemmy and Ludwig's theme. I personally think all of their themes fit their characters Maybe except Larry to me, I was thinking for Larry something different. But maybe it was to Mario Kart 8 that I thought Larry was one of a techno type of guy xD
I love these guys and there different personalities so much I just hope to see them again in a new Mario game outside of the Super Mario Bros series, paper or not. Not having them on the Mario movie was a crime too.
Y´know the paper koopalings have different personalities than the not paper koopalings. Ludwig: (let´s start with your favorite): The not paper version used his habilities to win the battle like the flutterkick or the triple fire, but his paper version uses machines and cannons. (they are cool too) Lemmy: His paper version is famous and would do everything for kill Mario but not paper Lemmy... is kinda, kind (well is kinder than the others). If you notice i exist i will continue. PD: do more videos like this please:
Fun fact: the jingle that plays in the Koopalings' introduction scenes is a recurring leitmotif in their themes. Timestamps: "ME WILL ROCK ME": 0:14 "Iggy Battle": 1:56 "Battle with Ludwig": 3:54 "Rumble with Wendy": 5:35 "Larry's Runaway Train": 6:14 "Lemmy's Grand Finale": 8:38 "ROYal Rumble": 9:37
Im gonna rate these themes from worst to best and remember its MY opinion not yours, 7. Mortons Theme. The only part i like is the beginning thats it. And who even likes this song? 6. Iggys theme. Iggy is my second favorite koopaling. This song is good but not amazing or anything. I would rank this theme higher if the rest weren't so good. 5. Lemmys theme. Ehhh this theme is better than Iggys but still kinda plain. Lemmy lovers please don't attack me in the replies. 4. Wendys theme. Now this is where the themes get GOOD. I really like this theme it sounds like it should be. A pirate theme. 3.Roys theme. This theme sounds cool and epic. I love the guitar in this theme. I also love the quacks in the song. 2. Ludwigs theme. I feel that this theme is underrated. Its pure gold. This is in my top 20 mario themes 1. Larrys theme. This theme is WAYYYY more underrated than Ludwigs theme. I love the train noises in the background and the whistle in the beginning. Also, Larry is my favorite koopaling which makes me love this theme even more (yes im biased)
Ludwig Larry Roy and Lemmy are all my favorite battle themes in Paper Mario Color Splash! Although I don't have Paper Mario Color Splash, I've heard all the Koopaling battle themes.
ah yes i love the koopalings, we have -moron, -nerd -nerd (music edition) -girl -choo choo boy -circus man -jerk no but seriously, these are all cool and i love that they got their own themes.
