what was absolutely hilarious was that, after getting killed off by Bonetail so many times, the one time it's defeated was getting killed by a random giant rock from the stage. shit was beyond belief

Next up, 10 HP Prologue Pit

I remember back in the day I did the pit right after chapter 1 just to see if I could and it was a little annoying but totally doable. Didn't expect much from this, but now I see that having Koops and especially Earth Tremor made some of the annoying encounters a lot more manageable.

I just watched the full run, and it's pretty cool to see how it was turned into a fully digestible video

This is quite impressive. Due to being able to prepare helped out a lot, but according to these rules it could have honestly been not nearly as difficult as you had it. If you are letting yourself have everything at your disposal in the prologue section, you could theoretically farm star points until you are at max level. Because of this, the prologue challenge really only limits your crystal star, items, and badges, which I will say is still rather impressive. However, I think a minimal challenge, one that does not collect anything beforehand, would be the ultimate test in skill for the trials. Because according to those rules, you wouldn't be able to rely on boosting levels. You'd still have access to Charlieton (whenever he'd appear, at least) as well as all the coins, items, badges, and star points you earn on your way, but would it be enough? I'd think so, especially if it's tool-assisted, but even in regular play, I think a true Paper Mario expert could do it, although it would probably take quite a few number of tries! Great job on the challenge!

This is hard enough to do when you're decked out and done with the game, but you made this seem easy

With jump storage and paper mode storage, you can get up to 17 star pieces in the prologue. If you choose to get the ultra hammer as well, you can get an additional 4 from Fahr Outpost. You can also access West Rogueport with either the ultra hammer or hazard respawn glitch, where you can get 999 coins by buying and reselling dried shrooms and selling the prizes you get from the shop point system, again and again. You can also enter the lottery over there and potentially enter the pit with an extra lucky day and a power plus. You can stock up on more items as well, shooting stars and ultra shrooms from the shop point prizes and even zess dynamites from the lottery prizes. Finally, you can access Merlee in the prologue with paper mode storage. Your preparations could have been taken a step further.

You a legend for completing this challenge. Got me wanting to try it myself as soon as I get the chance.

Damn, that was impressive. I remember I used to only venture into the Pit after defeating the Shadow Queen while stacked to the brim with shrooms and an upgraded party. Would love to see more challenges on TTYD!
