Only four days in, Mia has learned a few tricks, and she sure knows what "chicken" means. She knows these tricks, and is not even 9wks old yet! Incredibly smart puppy!
My Papillon is 3 weeks old tomorrow, so I have to wait another 5 weeks until I can bring him home! I've always trained my dogs just like this (from they are 8 weeks), and it not hard at all! Puppies at this age are like sponges!
I bred papillons and I have 2 now that I stopped breeding, but I love those dogs. They are so intelligent. You really did good getting your pup to train so early wth
Papillons are considered the smartest of the Toy Breeds and 7th smartest of all dogs. I have 4 and they are wonderful, low maintenance, fun and rarely have a "doggy" smell. Enjoy your darling Mia.
This was so adorable that I think my brain crashed! When she jumped? I literally have no words for the cuteness! I don’t know why but I never thought to start training my papillons until around the time they got all their shots and could leave the house to take classes. I am going to be getting a puppy soon so I will start young this time.
well she is a Papillon, what do you expect? They are one of the smartest dogs. I have a 6 year old Papillon. I am not surprised that Mia learned so quickly. You obviously know how to train right and get that special bond going early. Good job :)
I have a Papillon he is gonna be 5 years old in May. He is just the fur baby love of my life. I miss when he was little like this little girl. Papillons are so smart and adorable!
SO cute, reminds me so much of our Papillon, Samson, when he was that age. Unfortunately he and his brother are no longer with us, and we sure do miss them. Paps are very special little dogs indeed.
That first jump is to die for, I watched it over and over again! And it’s hilarious because she lands with a huge thud even though she’s so tiny! My Cordy was pretty sturdy too!
Mia's really the first thing that caused me to get a papillon. Her face is the cutest and she's so smart!! I LOVE the little pap guy I got! Papillons are so smart and cute. Some of them look less like dogs and more like other little animals. Mine looks like a fennec fox. :) I taught him to sit and lie down sooo fast, so now I need to find more tricks.
My Grandmother has a papillon, and she doesn't live far away. She has a papillon who, despite his parents being show dogs, is slightly larger than most of the breed. I spend tons of time with him, and my first word was actually "Duke!" (thats his name) Duke is much older now, at the age 15 and three-quarters. He is actually older than me by a few years! He is deaf and has cataracts, but he still recognizes me and other people, even though he is old. I love him still, and hope he's happy for the rest of his life.
This reminds me of when I got my first Papillon 17 years ago, I wanted her to only eat the healthiest food. And then I found out that my dad had been given her human food behind my back. I felt so betrayed, I had no idea because she never asked me for food. They were both keeping it a secret! When I walked in on them, she spit it out and they both tried to pretend that I didn’t just see what I thought I saw! That was the moment I realized that she was a sneaky genius! She never asked anyone for food in front of me, so I had no reason to be suspicious! But she was just as adorable as little Mia, so I couldn’t blame my dad for giving in. But if it was going to happen no matter what I said, I would have liked to have been there the first time. God, I miss her. She was perfect, and her personality was like I could have literally given birth to her myself. I was pretty sneaky too, lol.
Awwww great job Mia! My Papillon, Dudley, loves chicken but he's allergic to it. He just turned 5 this past November and he's so smart. I love him to the moon and back!
Had the pleasure of meeting a papillon on a sailing trip couple months back. Can't forget the gorgeous little thing. Such a content and happy dog. Easily at home on a day out with people. I want a papillon Bigtime. Yours is gorgeous. Look at it's little face. What's not to love!
Oh she is so cute! And so smart! My sister has a 4 1/2 year old Papillon that she adopted as a rescue, and I can barely get him to sit and wait 2 seconds for a piece of carrot LOL!
Nice job training! She seems trained to hear every command twice. Will she do it if you just say the command ONCE and wait for her to obey before rewarding?
I absolutely love your Pappy! Reminds me of my Archie when he was a puppy, I can't understand why they are not the most popular dogs, most people haven't heard of them. I agree totally with one of your older comments that they are low maintenance, although they do need a long run every day and they never have a 'doggy smell'. I also have a sausage dog, a miniature long- haired dachshund, got them both as puppies and it was amazing to watch them play all day. Any chance of an update?
Holy f**k! Only 8 weeks? My dogs 8 years and he can only sit, stay, paw and 'gently' take a treat from someones hands, but then, he's a chocolate lab and they are not known as the smartest of dogs, but still he acts like a puppy and even tho I can't stroke him much I love him to death, maybe one day I might get a papillon, but at the moment my lab is my love.
She's so adorable. I would watch her all day long. I wish your came had been a little further away to see her do the tricks more clearly. Super cute! Can't believe she can do trick so little :)
I am a wheelchair user , and was wondering if a PAPION would be suitabĺe for me , HOW MUCH EXCERCISE DO THEY ACTUALLY NEED are they easy to look after ?
@@shaneluke346 They're very energetic puppies. They may become lap puppies but not after the second year. I'd say a maltese or bichon frise may better suit your needs
so cute! we have to spell "chicken" or else my Pap heads directly to the refrigerator. It's my ultimate bribe(he purposely brings sticks into the house because he knows if he gives it up he gets chicken)
She is only a puppy and hasn't grown into her adult coat. As she gets older she will get more ear "feathers" (the hair that comes out from the ears and gives them their distinct "Butterfly" look) as well as more "feathering" on her legs and the rest of her coat. Papillons generally don't have really long coats. Because they don't have an under coat (like a coat under their main coat) they have a more sleek look than other small "poufy" breeds.
She's a darling. Very, very smart. Let's see; she's 7 months old now,so how's she doing! I'm very glad your vid came up as a related video to one I just posted featuring our female papillon. Tinkie says 'hi' to Mia.
hahah my dog is only 3 months and hesalready on the pad and role over, high five, shack hand, sit and dance, hes a papilion and poodle mix, looks just like him but sable color
Ohhhh my fluff, she's identical to my 11 month old, Baby! How long do they shed their baby fur? She's my 1st papillon, she was being re homed and I fell in love with her at first sight. I had a pitsky named Amazing Grace but she died from cancer and I wanted a smaller breed that I could handle more easily because I'm a 70 year old widow. I couldn't possibly love another puppy as much as Baby. God bless all the furbabies and those who love them 👑 🙏🏻 💞 ✝️ 🐾 🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯
lol my german shepard/papilion mix looked like that only ears were a little floppy and the coat is like a german with no black back. lol, that tail looked the same too!
