I'll never for they the first time I saw these (Founder towers) rolling across the factory floor during early production. A time and feeling that won't soon fade.
I have a pair of ATOMS and 1994 Towers (not sure what model but are poly cones) , I would say the ATOMS are my reference over my BW and Epics, the towers are great rock music and movie speakers.
For years I had only one sub .. then earlier this year I finally added a second one and... I was SHOCKED at the result ... IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER. They say base isn't directional, but when you have a big screen TV with a big cabinet beneath it for components and a large center channel speaker, you have to the put the subwoofer off to one side. There is just no good way to fix this problem other than getting a second sub. I will never, have just one sub again.
Buddy of my picked up a used Seismic 110, I was suprised at the size vs output. Will it hit 100db at 20hz no. But for the average listen it would blow them away. It even shaked the couch a little. The tank shots in Fury sounded large and has some nice impact without sounding booming. If you are wanting to listen at Reference levels, it isnt for you but I would be happy with a couple of them if I was forced to use them if space and decor demanded.
Fantastic video, thank you for taking the time to go over this system. Now I have something fun in mind for the bedroom system with that MRX Slim and all the new flat options (got an exterior wall so can’t do in wall speakers)
Been waiting literally 2 years for Anthem to integrate roon in the AVM models. They make some nice stuff but have so far failed to deliver on their promises for roon and dts x pro and recently released a beta FW that tanked AVM bass output and for the last three weeks the fix is coming next week. Just be aware that Anthem updates are very slow and they are slow to fix issues and bugs. I hope they get their act together as the equipment is good fundamentally.
I was curious if Michael was going to mention that he did not like the Premier towers he was sent for review…probably not the right time…did not realize celebrating 41 years was an important anniversary 😃
The purpose of a booth tour at a show is allow the brand to share about their products and what they brought to the show for those that are not able to make it in person. How I felt about the Premiere series would have no bearing on that.
