Some barefoot acro wagga wagga and speedflying at our little backyard hill in Italy. Note: Don't attempt anything you see in this video. We're what you call "experts".
1:30 Absolutely sick looking ! As someone interested about getting into paragliding, but mainly recording the experience of it, what kind of camera/go-pro equipment would you recommend ?
Normandy 07 Most people just use a GoPro. I use one for some POV shots when I need a wide angle but I mostly use a Sony a6300 since it does 4k30/1080p120. It's much harder to film and fly with but it looks very different from the other 99% of lazy pilots that only use Gopros :)
Yes I see, and I totally understand wanting good quality, I'll keep this in mind when making a decision on what to get. Thank you for answering my question !
ultimate budget paragliding: instead of using a wing and a harness, or even a wing without a harness, just don't use any equipment at all. Only weaklings need a wing.
Cool vid. We've all done stuff but don't forget the numbers game. Perhaps I've hit a more breakable age, perhaps I did my stuff when I could bounce better lol.
The risk is if a gust of wind comes he may be blown up or off the back and not be able to land immediately. However, we live here and fly here every day of the week and know the mountain very well, so it's a very calculated risk.
Sorry but I know few people that are currently dead because of trying to fly without harness.Everything else in this video is cool.I hope that some newbies will not try this.Cheers.
agreed. We are not only responsible for the immediate safety of others when it comes to takeoff, landing, and possible falling objects but also just not acting in a way that looks dangerous. Being a distraction to drivers is definitely a thing. There are lots to be aware of. Avoiding congested and populated areas really help eliminate these concerns.
