Paramotoring - Flight 13 - XC from Nailsbourne to Nr Exeter

A great XC flight which took around 90 minutes per leg. Three of us launched early on a foggy morning, besides the fog (which had started to lift) there was no wind and the temperature wasn't too bad.
We arrived at our destination and stopped for coffee and donuts courtesy of Spencer before launching to fly home!
Unfortunately whilst converting the videos via GoPro studio, I deleted the clip which included my landing (which was a good one too!), but I did get to trial my new GoPro mount to give an alternative view, despite some vibration.
Overall, a great day and some beautiful scenery!

hi ash i watched all ur videos its amazing i want to get in to paramotor sport i have already bought the gears hopefully the right ones lol, i was wondering where did u do ur paramotor training? (I haven't done EP & CP course) i just want to jump in to paramotoring :) many thanks

Sorry for the late reply, I trained to paraglide with Axis Paragliding in Wales, really fun and good experience, bought my wing from him (Roadster 2) and got comfortable with it before finally strapping on the motor and taking my first flight!

I'm getting the training there too with steve I've got one more day with him but the weather been rubbish so hopefully soon

Nice one. Do you prefer the GoPro on your head or on the Paramotor?

+mksmurff, if I had my way, I'd use both at the same time :) personally I like the helmet cam the most because it allows me to look around to record scenery rather than redirect my flight path :)

Hi Sergeant, great videos keep them coming. What (if any) gps/vario/alti do you use/recomend please. I want something (simple) to record my flights etc. Thank you. Keep flying !!!!!

Thanks +sparrow 58, I have footage from my flight last year that I still need to edit, but I have bit of an edit backlog lol! I currently use two, I have an Android phone with XCFlight installed, this tracks as well as a SkyDrop which also tracks the flight, both work well but XCFlight is of course free, that's an advantage!! Next flight coming soon, I'm desperate to get up there!

Thanks +sparrow 58, I hope to have a flight this year, last year was a lazy one and so I didn't get airborne :( watch this space! I don't actually use a radio whilst flying, but do hope to start doing so when flying this year!

FYI, I'm learning myself... I have a wing coming to practise with. I'm on my second lesson... Can't wait to get up - but when I'm ready of course ;)

Yeah I am still flying but the last few weren't so excited and so I didn't mix a video, plus as you say I haven't flown for 6 months, terrible really but I've been focusing on renovating my house BUT I intend to fly at the end of this month...hopefully :) watch this space!
