The Parasha starts out by telling us that the fire on the altar was to be kept burning. We look at fire as a metaphor for the religious personality. And then we talk about the "cookbook" nature of these laws. There is a way to do things. But do we transmit ritual and religious behavior by "recipe" books or by modeling?
