Initial review of the Parashooter Gear Type 56M chest rig for the AK. They've really done a great job of modernizing the venerable cloth and wooden toggle 56 into a rig that meet's today's needs.

Thanks for the review. However i think it would be helpful for people to see the rig when it is worn on the body for some sort of comparison on their person

Parashooter's business model and prices suck. You could easily be waiting a few years for them to make a particular color and model you want and if you aren't checking their website all the time it will be sold out before you can pay $135 for it. I rather have have Hub city Outdoors Mod a real Chicom rig or Kennedy designs make a Nylon version for me that I won't have to wait three years for.

There are definite benefits to having it custom done. At the same time, I haven't had issues getting a rig, but I'm also willing to accept multiple colors.

The Beez is definitely cheaper and I like their products as well. I will say it’s not a 100% apples to apples comparison though. Some people prefer the covered mags versus the elastic bungees. I don’t think the Beez has the capability to do the sub loads either. Not saying one is superior to the other, just that everyone has different needs or preferences in their gear.
