love to see that you appreciate the spanish buckles enough to make them yourself, they always seemed like the pinacle of silent buckles, keep up the good work!
I don't know if they would qualify as Spanish Buckles. They are DDR/NVA copied from the British Pattern 58 webbing buckles- however I will say I will always use Spanish buckles over any other when given the chance! Sadly Im seldom given the opportunity to use them.
Excellent mods and concept. I like how thin front to back the rig is. Chest rigs seem to have a tendency to expand out front quite quickly. Matching that with the good packs you've made and you've got the perfect system for you and your needs. Nate
Thats what I like about the Chicom based chest rig- There really practical w/o much room for growth.. However somehow some ppl have managed to add some ridiculous shyt on theirs and missing the point of its simplicity all together when they do that...
That is a nice chest rig, practical and functional. Like the 'dangler pouch' too for your binoculars; I've invested in a monocular to save on weight and space. What dye did you use on the nylon? I've used Dylon before and it does not really have any effect on nylon pouch's (Tried it on some UCP) All the best, Gilly 👍
The gods must have been whispering in your ears. I was wondering, just this morning, when I would hear from you again! I use RIT dye. They sell it in Europe too. That shyt will dye just about everything. Ive even seen it stain to metal. I tried a Mono a few years back but my eyes just never got used to it.. I tried it for the same reasons. In the end I got a very small set of Steiner binoculars after my Predators from Steiner were MIA.. I hope to see a new vid from you soon! Be safe, Lass!
Chicom style won for me. Its not bulky, its pretty flat against the body nor is it a rats nest of straps and buckles ..and it protects the magazines.. though the PS guy could have made the neck of the AK cells higher..

I get it. I probably wouldn't have but they were on sale. They are lacking in many ways. I think money could be spent better else where from a Survivalist POV..
