My arrangement of Next To You from Parasyte the maxim / Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu.
I might make another arrangement of this song in the future with me playing the piano instead of using a VST. I simply didn't have enough time to learn the song before going back home for the summer.

⁠@@opyadil2077the way the song played as shinichi rushed to kana and as she had thought she found shinichi, it was only to see that it wasnt him but by the time he arrived…. It was too late 😢 This scene tugged at my heartstrings but what made it more impacting was this song playing.. 😢

Interesting that you pointed that out. I often struggle with labeling my covers within a certain genre, since I often pull inspiration from several different ones. I decided to go with orchestral because of the strings more so than the drums. I'm glad you found it somewhat enjoyable at least :)

drum kits are a relatively new edition to orchestras, but for a lot of modern orchestral music (soundtracks of movies etc.) it has become quite a common percussion instrument. With a lot of orchestral music you can add some weirder instruments and/or take away a few commonly used instruments and still be considered orchestral.
