Marisa and Mike divorced a few years ago. Despite the divorce, they promised to always be there for their 2 sons no matter what. When their oldest son Connor (age 12) was diagnosed with a terminal disease, it pushed them to the limit. The disease, Sanfilippo syndrome, is degenerative and causes severe dementia and children often pass away in their teen years.
